Thank you to our friends at BBC, who sent us this large image of the The American Cover, which is also in their coverage of the covers. It’s very…different. Harry’s grown quite a bit over the summer, hasn’t he! It’s also spooky and gives us very little to wonder about plot-wise compared to the other books. (Personally? Oooh. Love it.)

And from the press release:

Scholastic recently announced that based on high pre-publication demand for the book, a second printing of 1.7 million copies has been added to the already unprecedented first printing of 6.8 million, bringing the total print run to 8.5 million copies. Scholastic has approximately 80 million copies in print of the first four Harry Potter books.

The press release also says the British cover will be used in “Canada, Australia, New Zealand, South Africa and many other countries throughout the world.”
