We received a press release this morning that the Raincoast Books launch event will be a charity fundraiser for Canuck Place Children’s Hospice.


Join us Saturday June 21st when Raincoast Books hosts the Harry Potter Launch Party, especially for grown-up Harry Potter fans. Celebrate the publication day of Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix at this spellbinding gala hosted by Bill Richardson and help raise funds for the schoolroom at Canuck Place Children’s Hospice. An adventure awaits you at the Vancouver Centre for the Dark Arts, a.k.a. Science World! You’ll groove with Vancouver supergroup ­ the 10 piece funk band Soulstream, levitate at the no-host bar, enjoy hors d’oeuvres and participate in our live or ghostly silent auctions. You could be riding home on your very own magical broom!

The event will be held at Science World starting at 7:30pm, Saturday June 21st. It’s for a great cause!
