Booksellers Barnes & Noble have just announced that on the evening of July 15th, they will be simulcasting a special greeting from J.K. Rowling at 7:20pm(EST) carried live from Edinburgh Castle in Scotland. This will be broadcast in the Barnes and Noble Store in Union Square in New York City.
The Union Square Store will also be the site where Jim Dale, narrator of the Scholastic version of the Harry Potter audio books, will be hosting a special midnight release party. He will be “hosting a reading and special surprise activities for fans of all ages.”

Also today, Barnes & Noble announced that they have taken over 750,000 pre-orders for Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince, and they expect pre-sales to hit the million mark before the release on July 16th. Just last week, Amazon annnounced that they have over a half-million pre-sales of the sixth Potter book as well. You can pre-order from our Cauldron shop and help Leaky at the same time, here.
