The Wyrd Sisters, the Canadian folk band that sued Warner Bros. over rights to use its name in the film, Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire, has been ordered to pay $140,000 to WB for its legal expenses in the suit. Justice Colin Campbell ruled that the band’s attempt to block distribution of the film was “highly intrusive” and suggested that the disparity of financial resources between the Wyrd Sisters and WB “did not preclude the band from having to pay the winning side’s legal fees.”
