If you expect your “intellectual” comments to be respected then can you please sort out your spelling and grammar. You have obviously spent a long time discussing this but it is all wasted with the awful grammar used in presenting you findings.

I have looked over the grammar and spelling and the only thing that I have been able to noitce is-due to typing fast-that I clumsily spelt “christains” wrong and spelt it as “cristains”. My humble apologies.
sincerely,
Eric Roberts

I’m sorry but I can not believe that Eric Roberts is a psychologist. I would expect a psychologist to have far better grammar and spelling. At the very least, to be able to spell his own field of expertise.

Of course Dumbledore wasn’t gay. If he had then JK would have written it into the books … sheesh, she had 7 books’ worth of chances to do so and never spat it out. Obviously it wasn’t clear enough or important IN HER MIND for her to mention. He may have been shy with women, or awkward, or preoccupied with other matters, or any number of things. I really don’t know why she is trying to retroactively edit something she had COMPLETE control over in the first place. There’s some bandwagon jumping going in here. Next we’ll hear that the HP books are about social revolution, and disability rights, and environmentally friendly and by the way did you know that if more people were Gryffindors that global warming would be completely reversed? I don’t buy it. Gay? No … simply not supported by the facts of the plot. Supported by an author apparently not content with all the attention the world can lavish on her and now wanting to be some kind of torchbearer for minority rights when she spent 10 years of her life writing about dragons and spells? Yes, it seems.

The fact that DD is gay adds nothing to the depth of character in the series…it’s just a PR ad for the gay community. She waited until the series was over to make sure she didn’t lose any fans (thereby lose money) along the way.

Wow, just came across this article! I wondered where people were getting all this ‘Dumbledore is gay’ theory from! Personally, I think it’s good that she didn’t include it in the books, as it would have deviated too far away from the main storyline.. But I’m glad she memtioned it in the end becuase it adds so much more to the whole Dumbledore/Grindelwald tale, and Dumbledore’s overall personality. I don’t think she revealed it now (well, a month ago) to try and receive more attention, but just to answer some questions. Well done to JK and I will still love Dumbledore forever!

It’s sad to see that many people think that JKR would just say that Dumbledore is Gay just to make a statement. Remember she was asked a question and she answered it. I’m certain that anyone whose read her books can be certain that she had put allot of though in her storytelling and in her CHARACHTERS.
Since the revelation Dumbledore’s character has not changed in my eyes. He hasn’t been elevated nor been knocked down in any way shape or form. What this has done though it’s explained why he didn’t see Grindelwald’s true nature and why he couldn’t face him until so many years’ later. Dumbledore is one of the great characters in this or any other book, and I have no problems having my children read the books.

I am extremely disappointed at Jo for her comments on Dumbledore. It was not necessary for her to promote such a perverse lifestyle in connection to a series of books that millions of children will take interest in now and in the future. The only good thing is that this was not included in the actual books.

In response to the comments made on the previous page I too cannot believe that Eric Roberts is a psychologist, aside from the fact that he cannot spell the name of his own profession… NO SCIENTIST EVER STATES THAT THEIR FINDINGS ARE 100% ACCURATE. It is the basis of all science that this cannot be so. Furthermore I want to know where you and your “23 other sycollogist” (yes that is how you spelt it!) Got all the time to get together and check and analyse every single comment and analyse them. The only reasonable explanation I can come up with is that you are Students; which would also account for the tone of superiority and atrocious spelling which I have seen. Furthermore I would also like to question how you analysed these comments. As far as I was aware in order to label something as insincere you would have to compare it to other statements the individual has made in order for it to be considered accurate otherwise it is your interpretation of the isolated text which is of course then bias in favour of your own opinion. For all these reasons I doubt both your identity and your competence.

Yes we should all pray for JKR, other homosexuals, and people think that gay is okay it is not.

Man JKR is a B I T C H someone payed her to say he was. Gay rights is a joke why dont we all run around naked with a rainbow flag that will show them. GAY PRIDE if u are gay and you are happy about it i dont know what to say. But if you are gay and can admit it is a problem email me i will really try to help you. KC_Microwave@yahoo.com Please it is the best for the world okay.

how could dumbledore be gay!?!? WE loved him. well what that is a good thing for kevin kruptkat though isnt it? he loved him too but in a differant sort of way. hes messed up yo. he keeps a picture of him above his bed and in the shower. hes going to be so heart broken that another man stole him.

Stupid Kevin, I knew that he was gay from the start. But Dumbledore, that’s insane! I wonder if

READ THIS—IT IS ACTUALLY NOT ABOUT HOMOSEXUALITY.
I-
along with 23 other sycollogist-have just finished reading every single comment that has currently been posted. It has taken us since 8:00 a.m. this morning to to 3:00 p.m.. After which we have spent about an hour and a half discussing this. We have percisely recorded averages, motives, etc.. We have discussed it and feel that we should tell all those in which that see and read this something:For you fans, cristians, homosexual sopporters, (etc.) we have found as we have read all the comments listed here that on an average 91% of all comments have either been of the following:
-disrespectful -highly crude -banaltalic -insincereity through neglecting major facts of opposing of siding point -insightfully albiphobic -insightfully euphemistic
These are all negetive. On a personal note I ask you to have respect and vice versia of all the above. Our disscussion and recordings have been 100% accurate and I, on a personal note, ask each and everyone of you to not be so negetive as we have seen the mojority of you all do. Both cristians and homosexualist have done this. Do not do it. On yet another personal note, we wish to remind you of something:
During the Enlightment, a man named, Francois Arouet Voltaire studied government. Voltaire came to this conclusion that a country should have the right of freedom of religion and speech. Voltaire is most famous for saying “I do not agree with a word you say but I will defend to the death your right to say it.” Voltaire clearly says here that he is willing to fight to the DEATH for your right of speech. This man is saying that he is willing to END HIS LIFE IN ORDER FOR YOU BE ABLE TO SAY WHAT YOU WANT. Than why, I ask you, do we “honor” him by not being able to discus differences without being crude and insincere. Let us be civilize. Let us not take for granit of what a man was willing to die for to say that which is unrespectful. Let us be a Americans who can respect, honor, and have integrity. I ask sincerely and with full honesty that you do this.
Sincerely,
Eric Roberts
