Harry Potter author J.K. Rowling will be among the celebrities due to attend the Daily Mirror Pride of Britain Awards next week in London. A press release indicates that Jo and actor Dan Radcliffe (Harry Potter) will join Prince Charles and UK Prime Minister Gordon Brown as well as actor Ewan McGregor and Harry Potter UK audio book narrator Stephen Fry among others at this event to be held October 9 at the Dorchester Hotel in London’s Park Lane. It will be broadcast the next day (October 10) on UK channel ITV from 9:00pm – 10:30pm. UPDATE 2: The Mirror is now reporting that Emma Watson (Hermione Granger) will take part in this event, however they do not mention Dan Radcliffe now, so perhaps there has been a change. We will continue to update this post with further information.

These awards honor those real life heroes in the UK, such as” an air stewardess who delivered and battled to save a 1lb premature baby at 30,000ft to Britain’s oldest man, the last First World war volunteer, who still visits schools to educate children at the age of 111 years old.”

Anyone who can capture video of this, please send it in!

UPDATE: The Mirror is running a contest for UK residents to win tickets to this event; for more, click here</>.
Thanks bremary!
