As reported here previously, the press launch for the release of the “Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix” DVD was held in London over the weekend. The official website of actress Emma Watson (Hermione Granger) has been updated with the first photos from this event. At this link you can see photos of Emma taken by her father on the set of the films at Leavesden Studios in England.

The “Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix” DVD will be released in the UK on November 12, with the North American release date set for December 11.

Such a shame the event was only for DVD press and not mainstream press-then fansites could have gone and done some proper reporting!! Pics arent brilliant but still nice to see! ONE WEEK TILL I GET MY DVDS!!!

I am the world’s greatest Emma lover, but she should clamp down on Daddy’s photos unless they are quality. These are dreadful. Bad mistake to let photos go public if they are not good.

My thoughts exactly, Ryan.

I don´t get it..Are those photos from a DVD launch?????

I only see some very blurry pics of Emma signig some photos.

And I totally agree with Robert, If Emma´s dad love taking pics of his daughter, the least thing he could do is to get her “in focus” if he´s intending of publishing them..otherwise he should keep them in an album at home

Emma Watson’s web site always is updated by a person named “Jo”, is this J.K. Rowling who updates her web site? Or just coincidently the webmasters name is Jo as well?

Posted by Jason on November 05, 2007 @ 11:59 AM
Haha

Yes, Emma Watson has in fact employed J.K. Rowling to update Emma’s site. Rowling needs the money, has too much time on her hands, and Emma is just that cool.

PMSL HAHA!! You beat me to that answer.

Jason come on-as if JK Rowling sits updating Emma Watsons website! Its Emmas webmaster who should be expecting a lawsuit one of these days for being called Jo. Im kidding obviously!

When are the press outlets going to be allowed to release their pictures???

Emma looks GOOD!

Amy S-there was only DVD press there-not main press. I imagine only DVD press who are reviewing the dvd. I doubt we will get any reports or many more pics. Keep look out for BBC NEWSROUND LIZO though-I imagine he will have first review in next few days!

@ Robert – Well I think the reason Emma’s site is releasing these personal photos is to try to quash the desire for unauthorized/stolen “private pics”... so obviously the personal photos they release aren’t going to professional quality or anything, or that would defeat the point.

I just had another looksie at the pics, and I really love what Emma’s wearing. I notice her roots are coming in a bit though, maybe she’s getting ready to go brunette for filming. Oh, I can hope, right?

Yes Emma does look gorgeous there. But i wanted Bonnie to be there and i read that she wasn’t. What is WB thinking not inviting my favourite Bonnie there, and not giving her more lines in the films. I am just aggravated cause i was waiting for this, and waiting for new pics of Bonnie. Then i read that she wasn’t even there makes me upset:(. WB better make things up to us Bonnie fans and give her tons more parts and lines in the final two films.

Don’t worry they are going to start promoting the heck out of Bonnie soon. They’re just waiting for the HBP stuff to start, once they start promoting that film she will be everywhere, trust me.

Interesting that the discription of where the shoot/launch was held was “The Great Hall”........correct me, if I’m wrong, but it looks either like ‘DD’s office’ or ‘Flourish and Blotts’! BTW, Dad takes great photos! Yes, Emma looked great, and I hope she’s going brunette for the film…but I don’t think it’s going to be too dark! *D (OH, YAH! Thanks, Ryan!...you have to “rub it in that you get yours a month be fore WE do, “across the pond”!)LOL

I was just wondering if the Canadian DVD release date for Movie 5 has been published somewhere.

Squeee! I’m so happy – saw the advert for “Order of the Phoenix” DVD on TV last night and rushed out to buy it today. It’s terrific! I really enojoyed the deleted scenes – they really ought to have kept most of them in. “Trelawney Eating” is fall-off-your-chair hysterically funny. She is such a terrific comedic actress! Viva South Africa – last in most things, but first in this. Squeeee!

The photos are not that bad so leave her Dad alone. :) On another note why is the DVD not available for pre-order on Amazon or retail stores websites in the US yet. It is just a month away and yet Amazon still says to sign up for information on the release date. Amazon, we know the release date let us order the darn thing already. I mean Sherk has been up for pre order for months now and I pre ordered my GOF DVD like three months before it was released. It just seems weird that the big retailers are not taking pre orders is WB up to something?

“go brunette for filming” —Confederate Lady

doubtful. Considering her hair was even lighter than this color in the last film, I think they’re going to go full-out Paris Hilton this time, with a matching pink bow. It’s only what they’ve been doing since Azkaban. sigh

Hahaha I agree, these photos are terrible! It’s funny how they’re trying to squash private pictures. Afterall, the pictures of drunk Emma beats this! Daddy Watson, you can do better!

Yes i can’t wait for that, to see tons of pics and promotion of Bonnie once everything starts to come out. Bonnie Wright rocks my socks off. I just finished watching The Replacements with Bonnie Wright 23 minutes ago. I beg to differ robert, but i am the biggest Bonnie Wright and Emma Watson lover in the whole wide world ever.
