Good news this morning as CBBC Newsround can confirm some casting news for the upcoming "Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince" film. Actress Helen McCrory will play the part of Narcissa Malfoy, the wife of Death Eater Lucius Malfoy. Newsround reminds us that Ms McCrory "was originally cast as Bellatrix Lestrange in the fifth Potter movie, but couldn't play the part because she was expecting a baby."

Also, the site reports that an"announcement on who will play young Tom Riddle and Lavender Brown is expected very soon."

Helen McCrory has appeared in "Anna Karenina" for PBS, as well as The Count of Monte Cristo, and was most recently seen in the hit films "The Queen," and "Becoming Jane," which also co-starred Julie Walters (Molly Weasley) and Dame Maggie Smith (Professor McGonagall).UPDATE: You can now see some additional photos of Helen McCrory here in our galleries.

"Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince" is currently in production and will be released in theaters November 21, 2008.

Jessie Cave looks a lot blonder in her other pictures, but even if she doesn’t make her hair blonder she’s still very fitting for the role. I’d be satisfied with her as Lavender, not that I’m really in control of that but it’s just my two cents.

She’s definely not what i imagined Narcissa to look like but on the other hand I couldn’t imagine Helena Bonham Carter playing Bellatrix at first and she was brilliant!

She is an AMAZING actress. My only problem is imagining her with blonde hair!

if only she didnt have the skunk look lol! her hair shouldnt have one big brown stripe in the middle, i mean it says like every time she shows up in the book that her hair is long silvery blond. but she’s a pretty good actress anyway. of course hermione’s hair is blonde too now, so i guess thats probably too much of a request…(o)(o)

Guess That Book

"If Filch's trying to learn magic from a Kwikspell course, I reckon he must be a Squib. It would explain a lot. Like why he hates students so much." Ron gave a satisfied smile. "He's bitter."
