Amazon.com has now posted a second synopsis from "The Tales of Beedle the Bard." As mentioned in "Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows," the collection of fairy tales were collected in a special handwritten book, auctioned by J.K.Rowling to benefit The Children's Voice charity. Purchased yesterday by the online retailer, Amazon has now posted an overview with plot detail of "The Fountain of Fair Fortune,"which you can read via this link. A permanent link to the Beedle the Bard tales at Amazon.com can be accessed at www.amazon.com/beedlebard. Thanks Alex!

I am really enjoying this. I am so glad that this book isn’t fated to languish in the safe deposit box of some wealthy individual. Thank you Amazon!

I wish we could read these tales to our children, they would learn so much about morality, empathy, strength, kindness and love.

Imagine if these storys become the cinderellas and snow whites in time, wouldn’t that be so amazing?

This story is beautiful, and Jo, so is your heart.

Wow, I really am enjoying theses stories (even though they are being relayed in summary!) but so beautiful. Rowling is the queen of storytellers and an enchantress. Her stories are very much Oscar Wilde in heart with a Brother’s Grimm level of invention.

Alex, thanks for getting the news in, and Sue, thanks for getting it posted so quickly!

I particularly liked this insight in the review of Fountain:

“It is heartening to see Rowling continuing to embrace the themes of friendship and camaraderie so prevalent in her series, not to mention her ability to draw strong, intelligent, female characters. We spent seven books watching Harry learn that it is okay to need the help and support of his friends, and that same notion of sharing responsibility and burden is strong in this tale. “

I enjoy the fact that themes of Harry Potter are caried over, such as the Pensive, and even how Ron had thought he took the Felix potion, but really his luck was in him.

Jo you have done it again: strong and brave female characters and a brave and modest male character. Our power truly comes from within, a very poignant notion. Like many of the characters in Harry Potter, the witches in this tale put other’s welfare ahead of their own. Selflessness is a beautiful thing.

The tales we have been so fortunate to have glimpsed at have been wonderful thank you JKR!

Sarah (F), why not buy a blank journal, decorate it, and write some stories yourself? That probably would be something that would make JK happy ;-)

hey again ImH, LemonF

Hope you are doing well! I want this book so much more now than I even did before, having read these summaries, don’t you? Pretty amazing, aren’t they? Jo is absolutely a one of a kind.

OMG. I love Amazon. These stories sound AMAZING. Just by reading the reviews I’m getting chills. I can’t imagine how would it be to read theme exactly as Jo wrote them. I think we can learn so much about these tales, new lessons of friendship, selflessness and bravery. The ending seems so beautiful, and I’m glad it’s getting such good reviews from the site. I actually wonder who is writing them.

Ohh I am so happy that Amazon was the winner of the book! I love the 2 summaries we have recieved and I cannot wait for the next. What amazing stories!! To read the “real” thing would be incredible but whomever is writing the reviews for Amazon is doing a superb job at relaying Jo’s stories.
