A new trailer for upcoming IMAX release of Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix is online featuring a number of new clips from the film. The 30 second trailer, which can be seen here on IMAX.com, does contain much of the previously released trailer footage but includes a few new shots of what are sure to be amazing scenes on the IMAX and regular screens alike.
You can find the closest IMAX theater showing “Order of the Phoenix” to you, by clicking IMAX on July 11.
It was the cast/crew screening this morning in Leicester Square.
All I can say is WOW!
The scenes are short but just about make sense.
There is a good explination for Dumbledore’s confused expression.
I have to say Evanna is the IDEAL Luna.
And Mr Radcliffe has got WAY better at his “I’m being possessed by Voldermort” acting (Especially towards the end of the film!)
And for all you Ron/Hermione shippers…this film is gonna be your fav yet!
I heard there was a screening today. Can you give us some info on the Dumbledore/Harry scene in his office at the end? Was it as emotional as the book?
Hey, do you have any proof that you saw the movie, because sorry but anyone could just come over here and say they’ve seen the film and repeat the comments that were said in the test screening reports in March. Not that I don’t believe you; I want to, but how come you saw the movie early with the cast ??
Hey Andrew.
Erm…i have a photo of my ticket if that’s ok?:
This is the full ticket but blurry. [image on the left is the front of the invite. image on the right is the back of the invite- I had 2.]
Hi Suzanne,
Ginny is about. When they’re all leaving the DA for the xmas hols, Harry walks towards Cho who’s lagging behind and there’s a clear shot of Ginny turning to watch then slowly walks away. That’s all I can think of =) Erm. I dont think she actually has any lines though!
Hi T_D_O,
The scene with Dumbledore and Harry is VERY short at the end. It was just basically a summary for those who hadn’t read the book I felt. Which was dissappointing.
And you will be SO pleasantly surprised when you see how well the young actors have been able to portry their characters emotionally!
I couldnt see much of it at the beginning but (spoiler warning) near the end Harry becomes possessed (not for the first time in the film) by Voldermort and you really see Harry fighting against it, and I mean REALLY mentally fighting against it. I even felt proud of Dan myself and I’m expecting great things from Yates for the HBP! =D
To anyone who was wondering how I got the tickets,
my cousin works on the set and is “unfortuatly” on away this weekend. So she gave the tickets to me =)
Cool, thanks! A little disappointed about the Dumbledore scene, but I kind of expected them to cut that down to nothing.
You said it was good for fans of Ron/Hermione, was there anything specific that you liked that you could comment on? Also, how was Ron’s character portrayed in this film? Was it more canon?
Ron and Hermione flirted instead of bickered. Throughout the whole film.
There was many a moment when they shared glances and smiled at each other in that ‘flirtacious’ way putting forward the sense of “something will happen one day!” into the picture.
Ron was alot different to how he had been in the previous films. To be honest there wasnt too much of him and Hermione as have been seen in the previous films, i thought. But what we did see was the Ron we all know and love from the books. The Ron that is actually braver than portrayed in his wimpering way in 2 and 3. And slightly more grown up than his moody way in 4.
He sticks up for Harry and attempts to save Hermione from Grawp.
Thanks! That’s good news about Ron. I want book!Ron.
Couple of more questions, if you don’t mind:
-Was the scene where Harry yells at Ron and Hermione at Grimmauld Place in the film?
-I heard that during the possession (SPOILERS, maybe) Harry sees Voldemort in the Mirror of Erised and breaks it and then sees flashbacks of his mother and Ron and Hermione, is this true?
-Was Dumbledore like book!Dumbledore?
- Does Grawp call Hermione Hermy?
Yes Harry yells at Ron and Hermione and it is the first REAL bit of dialogue he says to be honest!
Yes in actually the final possession scene Harry sees himself as voldermort and then smashes the mirror BUT it is ALL in his mind. The smashing and visions. Anything in his mind is cleverly done with very very fast clip editing so it is a milli-second shot of him smashing it. Seriously, it was so quick!
Harry has many flashbacks. It’s brilliant! And quick so it isnt boring!
Dumbledore again, I felt, wasnt featured enough to be compared to book!Dumbledore.
And Grawp doesnt really say anything. I was disappointed that he never called Hagrid “Hagger” or Hermione “Hermy”.
The Grawp scenes (for me) were a slight disappointment. But the first scene we see him in is SO funny!
"He can't come back, Harry," said Lupin, his voice breaking as he struggled to contain Harry. "He can't come back, because he's d --"[br]"HE -- IS -- NOT -- DEAD!" roared Harry. "SIRIUS!"
Looks good, I’m liking the look of the death chamber :) Just wish we had IMAX over here, in the UK :(
