Leaky MySpace Page Design Contest

Ok all you MySpace layout creators and other clever creative wizard types, have we got a challenge for you! We are proud to announce our newest contest to design a skin or layout for our newly launched official Leaky Cauldron MySpace page. The winner will be the design that is used on our page (which is looking a little plain at the moment), so layout designs at the ready! Following both the rules of MySpace and Leaky, meaning a strict PG-13 rating for content, the challenge is to create an original design, where you must submit both the HTML and a screen shot of the design. You may submit more than one entry, all of which are due by midnight July 31 (EST). For more information, please click here. Please mail your submissions to myspace@the-leaky-cauldron.org. Good Luck! I may try this one. I dunno. I’m pretty good at photoshop and such. But ehh I’ve only made a background three or so times. I don’t know how to do the coding for whole profiles. That’d take an age unless I knew ALL the awesome profiling codes.

dcdubaya – The reward is using your design/HTML work as the new skin for the myspace page! Lots and lots of people will see it. :)

I encourage everyone to at least attempt to make a skin. You may end up learning something new or creating the winning skin! You never know.

Cool, Althought I don’t go on Myspace so I won’t try.

Does that mean this site will get a new layout? or will the site become a myspace.

No, they’re just setting up a profile on myspace. Dunno why though. I’ve never got the point behind myspace (and they’re plenty wrong with myspace like bad design, background images, background music, bad content, etc).

Cool! I haven’t designed a website in yeaaars, so I can just imagine how out of date my coding skills must be! I think it makes sense for Leaky to have a myspace, since so many fans do, so why not? I’m not myspace’s hugest fan either, but hey, a lot of people are, and it’s just another great way to connect with the Leaky fans :)
