Dunno why, but it’s not working for me ! :’( Is it because I don’t live in the US or something ?

Avatar Image says:

Not available in my area. Right. Because I’m English and Harry Potter is….. oh wait…. English.

Mutters and stomps

Avatar Image says:

Awesome soundtrack!! :)

Avatar Image says:

AOL are RACIST. How deeply frustrating for anyone outside the US. Can someone like, hum it on here or something, for me??

Avatar Image says:

No music is playing, I live in Canada :S

Avatar Image says:

I LOVE the soundtrack though the tracks are a bit short.

Avatar Image says:

It won’t work on Firefox just to let you all know. It wouldn’t work for me on it, but when I went to IE it worked fine.

Avatar Image says:

These are such beautiful tracks! You must have Quicktime to listen I think. Wonderful Job!!

Avatar Image says:

It’s not working for me anyway, but it doesn’t really matter, i hate the soundtrack! There’s nothing speacial in it, and I could have written something like it. We need John Williams back, without him it’s shameful.

Avatar Image says:

Ummm…Phoenix Rising, what country you live in is not racist. There are tons of different people in the US and making accusations like that is just a bit stupid.

Avatar Image says:

It is not shameful! This series needs some beautiful music rather than fast strings and horns flailing all over the place without any sense of structure.

Avatar Image says:

It’s not working for me either. The window comes up and I can choose tracks, but there are no controls and definitely no sound. I’m Mac, maybe that’s it. Darn it all anyway – I wanted to hear the new Interpol CD, too.

Avatar Image says:

Well, AOL does stand for American Online. But please don’t make ignorant comments about “racism” when that has nothing to do with at all. The music will come out.. be patient

Avatar Image says:

Forgive the double post.

Tereza, download Firefox because it works for me and I’m on a Mac

Avatar Image says:

I think this soundtrack is phenomenal. The only soundtrack I truly enjoyed apart from this one was POA. This one’s greattt.

Avatar Image says:

It’s better than I thought it would be. Umbridge’s Theme keeps bouncing around in my head. ‘Dumbledore’s Army,’ ‘Death of Sirius,’ ‘Possession,’ and ‘The Room of Requirement’ were all quite good too.

I don’t hear anything as good as POA’s ‘Window to the Past,’ but that would be hoping for too much perhaps.

Avatar Image says:

I say I LOVE THIS SOUNDTRACK!! It’s a perfect mix between PoA, CoS, and SS together, with a bit of the new OotP feel. It’s brilliant! I’m definitely going to buy the soundtrack, and I can’t wait for what Nicholas Cooper will do for Half-Blood Prince!! :)

Avatar Image says:

I’m impressed with Mr. Hooper’s work on the film. One thing that kind of disappointed me was the fact that I cannot find ANY of the music from the trailer in the soundtrack.

Still, I like this one better than the GoF soundtrack. I still would like Williams to do HBP (he is the only one who can do the phoenix song justice towards the end, imo) but now I’m confident Hooper will be able to tackle it.

Avatar Image says:

the soundtrack is bloody brilliant! the music conveys so much emotion, as does this book.

Avatar Image says:

I’m on Safari and it works just fine. It might be your internet connection or their server is busy.

I really like the soundtrack so far. I think the guitar on “fireworks” was a really good idea.

Avatar Image says:

AHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH I just saw OOTP, and it was good. But didn’t amaze me but I SAWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWW IIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIITTTTT.

Avatar Image says:

Awesome soundtrack! For those of you saying you hate it, please wait until you see it with the movie. I personally think this is the best out of all 5. PoA was my favorite but this one takes the cake. Hooper did an excellent job with using many different themes and instruments. His use of syncopation and dissonance is wonderful and matches well with the tonality of the book/movie. CHristina, how can you say you hate the soundtrack when you can’t even hear it? I have loved John Williams’ music for many years but Hooper score is far and beyond anything Williams could have done for this movie.

Avatar Image says:

I’m in Mexico and it just won’t let me listen to it. I hate it when sites like this restrict their content for other countries.

Avatar Image says:

OMG!! I’VE JUST SEEN OOTP!! IT’S AMAZING!!! THE MUSIC WAS PERFECT IN THE MOVIE!! i loved umbridge’s theme! xD omg, the movie just was …amazing! :D the fight with DD and Voldy was breathtaking! I couldn’t even blink! lol This site is amazing!! 10 days!! omg!!

Avatar Image says:

i refuse to listen to this…. there’s nothing i love more than seeing an HP movie and hearing the music with it for the first time…. two more days to go…. how have some of you already seen it?!

Avatar Image says:

oh! I’ve seen it because I won tickets for an avant-premiere in Uruguay, just in case people think I’m lying xD

Avatar Image says:

I love this soundtrack. I haven’t really liked any but PoA and to me this is where GoF should have gone. It’s a step up from where Williams left off… although GoF is ok… to me it just wasn’t as great as it could have been.

And Jingulus I think that part of ‘The Sirius Deception’ about 53seconds in is a part of the trailer… forgot which one… but its the part of the trailer when Harry and the Gang are running through the Hall of Prophecies… I’m not sure though. I think they did use the tracks from the album but they’ve done such a good job at blending them in the trailer its hard to identify each piece.

All I know is I can’t wait till its time for us here in Hawaii to see OotP on screen… I’m SO EXCITED!!!

Avatar Image says:

less than 24 hours! WOO!!! :D

Avatar Image says:

I was trying hard not to click on the link, I said to myself you’ll see the movie tomorrow, just wait…but no, I had to click!

Its freaking awesome! WHOOOO! XD

Avatar Image says:

Dan is on Leno now! I missed the interview. Did someone get it?

Avatar Image says:

This soundtrack played just fine for me on Firefox and I don’t have Quicktime either. It’s amazing! Definitely the best HP soundtrack so far! “Possession” brought tears to my eyes and Fireworks is the funnest song ever. I’m going to buy the soundtrack for sure.

Avatar Image says:

Cauldron Shop’s not working. :(

Avatar Image says:

Hi :)

(Sorry) OT:

IESB has 4 vids recording the Hand/Foot/wand print ceremoney. They also have loads of pics, here’s the link:

http://www.iesb.net/index.php?option=com_content&task=view&id=2828&Itemid=99

Avatar Image says:

Awesome. It was PERFECT. I’m buying it right after I watch the movie. :D

Avatar Image says:

You do NOT need Quicktime to listen.. the media player is the native AOL media player (new version).

Anyway, this is addressed to corey: sorry but Nick had every right to use “fast strings and horns flairing.” It’s called artistic license.

From the first track, I know this is the best of the 5 scores.

Avatar Image says:

Doug,

I believe Corey was responding to Christina, who said it was shameful to have Nick Hooper compose. Corey was addressing John Williams’ music as “fast strings and horns flairing…” Just thought you’d like to know before you start throwing insults.

Regarding the soundtrack, to me The Ministry of Magic is the best track on the soundtrack.

Avatar Image says:

Wow!!!! nicholas Hooper broke Harry Potter out of the same old mold it’s been in for years and really rejuvinated it. I love it! Im going to the OotP midinght showing and Im FREAKING OUT!

Avatar Image says:

I live in Trinidad (in the Caribbean) and it isn’t playing for me.. help!

(I tried Mozilla and I have dialup..is that it?)

Avatar Image says:

Gasp I am such a music geek, this is great!!

Avatar Image says:

hei! I live in Indonesia, a very small country in south east asia!! I really waiting 4 this book.. this book will satisfy me absolutely.. so, I will be the first buyer in this country!!

Avatar Image says:

can anyone record it on a tape recorder or something and post for those who cannot hear it.. please!

Avatar Image says:

Yes, I was referring to William’s music…that’s not to say I don’t like it; I just think all of William’s sounds very similar (the fast pieces).

Avatar Image says:

The Flight of The Order of the Phoenix was by far the best, and anyone putting this soundtrack down will have to answer to me! I will NOT tolatrate it!

Avatar Image says:

Phoenix Rising sorry you can’t hear it! I don’t think AOL is racist LOL. But it is ‘America online.’ If I were you I would be angrier that my country didn’t have a good site for that kind of thing. Anyway, the CD is very nice. There is a site where you can hear 30 sec clips of the songs. Or you could go to the official music site, or buy it. I looked all online for you, but I couldn’t find anything sorry :(

How is everyone finding out what song they are on? Mine doesn’t say

Avatar Image says:

This is so unfair! I think that music should be available to everyone.. Well, I´ll hear the music on Friday when the movie will be released in Finland. Maybe I can wait till then.. :)

Avatar Image says:

I live in indonesia.i also have downloaded hedwig’s theme.OMG!and im waiting 4 Ootp movie.i luv HP!!<3

Avatar Image says:

I want to hear it but I can’t :(

All I get is this: We’re sorry, the clip you are trying to play is currently not available in your area.

Guess I’ll have to wait two more days for the midnight premiere here in Denmark. Dammit. This is a stupid way to conduct business, they want to sell the soundtrack, but only people in selected area get to actually listen to it beforehand. But guess I’m just a second-rate consumer (not being american).

Avatar Image says:

Im sorry to say people, but for me this soundtrack is not good at all. There are some nice ideas and nice almost consistent melodies, but it’s all too sipmple. There is no second plan in those tracks… this is mostly PC games music you know.. It’s not epic enough, the tracks are too short and they end right when the they start to get exciting… There is no strong melody like Window to the past was in PoA, this is all just tin tin, tun tun, ...veery simple, believe me i could do this with my synthetizer. Im a soundtrack collector, ive heard hundreds of soundtracks and this is no more than average. (dont tell me you werent expecting more from tracks like Death of Sirius or Loved Ones & Leaving – which ends like it was unfinished, fades out without any momentum,..just fades out, there is no epic ending to it like with all Williams’ tracks, even Doyle had done things better..)But, of course, its only my opinion, so the rest of you enjoy it :)

Avatar Image says:

not working “in my area” :((

Avatar Image says:

I bought the soundtrack on iTunes Music Store this morning, the streaming thing was driving me mad. Its a great soundtrack! I’m loving it :-)

Avatar Image says:

It doesn’t work for me either… A pity, but since the ‘A’ in AOL stands for America I don’t mind. I always can listen to the soundtrack in a music store soon…

Avatar Image says:

Doesnt work in UK. I’ve heard the whole soundtrack though and its beautiful. There is one track that I am shocked is not on there though – the flight of the DA on the Thestrals – I imagine the music to be soaring but with a serious undertone of dangerous intent. I guess we will find out how that will sound only in the film. Also, what about the duel between Dumbledore and Voldermont? Wouldnt that be a climatic track? – again, not there. Some films release a second fuller CD but the potter films have never done this so I guess we will never have these particular tracks on cd. Perhaps there are no music to these scenes!! I will get the CD first day it comes out as I have done wih all the previous ones. But whatever is given on cd is mostly beautiful.

Avatar Image says:

Doesn’t work for me either. Germany isn’t supported then…

Avatar Image says:

I listened to the entire soundtrack last night and have to say that I am deeply impressed by it. It isn’t the most marvelous in the franchise, but it is certainly one of the best. It certainly is similar to the album John Williams composed for the third film, filled with evocative, emotional melodies. The Dolores Umbridge theme will probably go down in cinematic history as one of the most memorable from this series.

Avatar Image says:

Well, I can’t listen to it… Maybe it’s because I’m on Linux, or maybe because I live in France… But last year we could listen to it… Bizarre… Well, maybe people who can listen to it have saved it on their computer ?

Avatar Image says:

It isn’t on Apple Store anyway.

Avatar Image says:

Definitely not as good as Prisoner of Azkaban.

Avatar Image says:

I think the best 3 were; The Death of Sirius,Dementors in the Underpass and The Ministry of magic. Can’t wait till tomorrow:D:D:D

Avatar Image says:

POA soundtrack is indeed the best one for me but I place OOTP 2nd followed by PS/SS in 3rd place.

Avatar Image says:

Woahhhh the movie countdown thingey is having a fit! its doing the whole Y2K thing lmao. (its the 11th here in NZ) ORDER OF THE PHOENIX TODAY!!!!!!! yaaayyyyyyyyyyyyy

Avatar Image says:

darn yanks! I cant listen to it

Avatar Image says:

And here we go again… not available here… I just hate this, it’s always the same story, the U.S. is first(for challenges, listening, WHATEVER!!!), and the others, well are there others by the way? do we exist?... Just a reminder that HP is ENGLISH, and Europe should be able to listen to the soundtrack just as much as the U.S.. Annoyed, annoyed, annoyed…

Avatar Image says:

In my opinion this album is a little dull… not nearly as good as POA.. And for all of you who dont live in america like me, learn to use bittorrent ;)

Avatar Image says:

Not available in “my area” either… I wouldn’t mind but my internet connection is through AOL and they still won’t let me listen… !!!

Avatar Image says:

Sorry… that cut me off… (slinks off to a darkened corner to mutter to myself and sulks!!)

Avatar Image says:

I had to work last night till 11:00 p.m, so I hung around work and picked it up at 12:01. I’m really liking it so far (haven’t heard all the tracks yet). Not sure how I feel about it in the scope of all the others yet, but Umbridge’s themes are perfect!

Avatar Image says:

Why? It doesn’t let me in! I want to listen to them sooo much! cries

Avatar Image says:

I do like the music, but I do also agree with Stan. It’s videogame-music. Good videogame-music obviously, but still. It actually reminds me a lot of the music from Fable, also a videogame. It’s a little to simple, just like Stan said. I don’t think it will ruin the film though

Avatar Image says:

Well I am on a Mac running Firefox with the Quicktime Plugin installed and it’s playing. I also live in Canada so I don’t know what you people are talking about that it only works in the US.

Avatar Image says:

I love Flight of the Order of the Phoenix, Loved Ones and Leaving, and The Room of Requirement.

Avatar Image says:

I can’t get it because it says I’m out of range or something. But I looked on Amazon and it’s really good even though you only get a bit of the soundtrack

Avatar Image says:

Again, don’t judge the music based off of this. The soundtracks are to give you, more or less, a sample of the score for the movie. If you had all the music it would be over 2 hours long (Which I would love if they ever released it). This music fits wonderfully with the movie and the book. This fits well with the 20th century/current era of music. I think what tends to happen is people are trying to compare the music with John Williams style…which are two completly different styles. John Williams tends to lean heavily on brass and uses strings only for fast thrilly moments…which works nicely sometimes. But we are into some dark times with these movies and Nicholas Hooper rises excellently to the challenege.

Avatar Image says:

If you put your computer´s clock to American time (for examble GMT-5), it works, EXCEPT that you can´t hear the voice. :) So it actually doesn´t help anything.. Sorry.. But maybe someone else can hear it?

Avatar Image says:

Im in South Wales UK whats the point in putting it up on leaky if half the world cant hear it. Very disappointed. Thought there was something wrong with my computer.

Avatar Image says:

I could not play using mozilla. AOL does not support mozilla. I downloaded the recent version of netscape, I hate IE, and it works. Ensure that you download and accept the mozilla ActiveX plugin. Good luck

Avatar Image says:

wow…completely retarded. guess we’re not part of the party bc we dont live in the US…yea ok. not the first time everybody is excluded because their ID # isnt labeled ‘made in USA’...whatever, i’d love to try excluding the other way around tho..lol…everybody in the world gets to listen to it UNLESS they live in the US..lol. someone should try that. clearly discriminating…specially since HP is ENGLISH..or did it suddenly become american.

Avatar Image says:

Hey HPfanatic…it’s called AMERICAN online for a reason ;)

Avatar Image says:

This Soundtrack is really the best one right next to PoA. I love John Williams, and I loved Patrick Doyle’s composition too, but this one has this energy that is just there. This is really really an awesome soundtrack! Cannot wait to hear it in the movie at the midnight showing tonight! SQUEE^^

Avatar Image says:

I can’t listen to it, i’m in Britain. No fair!

Avatar Image says:

So far I think the music is great. I am only on the third song though. I like the third song alot.

Avatar Image says:

I think this is going to great with the movie. I cant wait to see it!!!!!!!!!Does any one know where I can listen to the soundtracks from the other Harry Potter films? I love Dumbledors Army song!!!!!!!1

Avatar Image says:

I live in Europe, can’t listen to it either. They ARE racist… I would never dream of excluding anyone when making a website and making stuff public but then I support EQUAL TREATMENT of all people… When the GoF soundtrack came out I could listen to it online, liked it, bought it as soon as I could. I buy the books, I buy the movies, I buy the CDs just like any American customer. My money is not good enough?

Avatar Image says:

Yeah, I guess it doesn’t work for Firefox users. :-(

Avatar Image says:

No music playing in Mexico either, thats not fair

Avatar Image says:

Hey! this doesn’t really have anything to do with the streaming clips, but I was looking at the forum and didn’t know if anyone had posted this yet.

I purchased a copy of the soundtrack today-and yes, aside from being awesome, i noticed that the inside back flap has four “rune” like inscriptions that are curious and fascinating. they could simply be the initials of the producers and Hooper manipulated to look like something, but I was wondering if anyone else had seen these images and could postulate on what they might be. Thanks!@
