Today we celebrate the birthdays of two of our favorite fictional and non-fictional people: Harry Potter and J.K. Rowling. If we tried to explain how much they’ve meant to us all here this year, we’d fail. So, as has been tradition here on Leaky, we bring some celebratory artwork instead. This year our dear talented friend Frak has done the honors, depicting our trio in a very special spot applauding their creator:

to jk rowling one of my favorite authors happy birthday thank u for bringing tears and smiles to me from harry potter books i really love it all the way u write i like it very much happy birthday for harry too! he has been my idol since my childhood as the ‘sorcerer’s stone’ published i love him!!! it’s all because of u! u make him a ‘hero’ but he is really a ‘human’ without superpower or what. u teach to love n to accept i’m sooo touched happy birthday once again for both of u! wish u all the best (i’m sorry if my english’s not so good… my language is not english >_< hope u understand it)

Happy Birthday, Jo! My twin sons turn 17 in three days, just as Harry did at the beginning of Deathly Hallows. They have grown up with Harry and are, in their own words, the “Harry Potter Generation.” I thank you for the gift you have given them and all of us . . .
