Happy Birthday! And thank you soooo much for bringing the books to me via audio. Driving around Alaska takes forever for me and listening to these great books with your talent is a blessing that makes the driving go by so fast!
Yeah, Jim! JK Rowling, Jules Verne, Dave Barry. You have good taste as well as great ability.
You were the most memorable person in all of “Pete’s Dragon!”
Even the “20 Below” team of our local paper loves you. http://www.registerguard.com/news/2007/08/13/pl.20bkratka.0813.p1.php
Happy Birthday!
Happy Birthday, DALE ! You be awesome!
We found this late but Happy Birthday Jim! We cherish the HP cds just as we have cherished all of your wonderful stage performances!
Happy Birthday Mr.Dale. Belated wishes.
Jim, you’ve accompanied me on many a road trip and I want to say thank you for making the constant driving up and down I-71 a delight! Happy Birthday!
Happy Birthday to the greatest manin the world. You have changed my life. no lie.
Now if you all don’t mind, I’m going to bed to listen to the audio books for the night like I have every night for my whole Harry Potter life….
He looks good for 72, I thought he was in his early 60s. Happy Birthday Jim (even though I prefer Stephen Fry in regards to the audio books)!!
Happy Happy belated birthday Jim Dale! My family and I listen to your excellent Harry Potter narrations whenever we travel… you are, as Harry would say, BRILLIANT!
Jim Dale’s voices for Dumbledore, Hagrid, Voldemort, Dobby, and Kreacher are wonderfully evocative of those characters. His most moving performance, for me, was Dobby’s death and burial—a perfect rendition of J. K. Rowling’s most poignant prose. Have a great 73rd year, Jim!
Jim thank you so much for all the hard work. I will buy anything you read. All the Harry books are fantastic (thank you for fixing Ginny’s voice in 7 :-) ) And The Christmas Carol is a welcome addition to our family’s yuletide tradition. Minimoys, Peter Pan, Around the World in 100 Days… they’re all great.
