The personal fashion style of actress Katie Leung has earned her some recognition as Katie is among those nominated this year as the Most Stylish Scotswoman of 2007. The Scotland on Sunday reports that the actress who portrays Cho Chang in the Harry Potter films is among those nominated in the awards this year, along with “Ugly Betty star Ashley Jensen and actress Laura Fraser as well as Hannah McGill, director of the Edinburgh International Film Festival, and artist Gay Grossart.”
Katie, who recently attended London fashion week and earned a mention in the Teen Vogue blog about her love of couture, was chosen for these awards as she is “making fashion waves thanks to her youthful and quirky style.” You can see a recent photo of Katie at the Moet Mirage evening here. The Scottish Style Awards will be presented at the Old Fruitmarket in Glasgow, Scotland at the end of October.

That’s blasphemy’ burningpumpkins! I must respectfully disagree. Also, not that these lists matter, Emma has already been on two or more best-dressed lists in the past month or so. :D
burningpumpkins To be fair, we have seen Emma around since she was 11 yrs old, Katie we first saw at about 15 yrs(?). I would be loth to censure an 11yr old’s taste in clothes.
Note that the award is for Scottish women and Emma is not Scottish.

Whenever a post like this appears, you just KNOW someone’s gonna throw Emma’s name in there somewhere just for an excuse to bash. These posts always turn into a competition between the HP girls. But anyway, WELL DONE KATIE!!!
Well it’s not bashing, it’s just an opinion. Emma would not have made the best-dressed lists if she had not signed up with Chanel. Unlike Emma, Katie has never ended up on a WORST-dressed list either. There—evidence to what I said, so it’s not bashing.

It is bashing because you didn’t need to mention Emma at all. This post was about congratulating Katie, not an excuse to bash Emma.
Emma is far more visible than Katie because she’s one of the three main leads in the HP films, so of course people notice what she wears more, even when she was only 13 ands 14 years old. Katie hasn’t had to deal with that level of scrutiny.
But they are both attractive girls who are not in competition with each other, so it would be nice if people didn’t feel the need to praise one by ragging on another.
