Emma Watson is always praised for her sense of style. I think she did that just to push her boundaries, see what she could get away with.
And I think Dan Radcliffe is a jaw-droppingly brilliant actor, and deserves every bit of that award. :)

Are you kidding? How old are you? You obviously don’t know much about acting. He’s an ok actor. In the first 4 films he was crap. I know he will get better, and eventually be a very good actor. But “jaw-droppingly brilliant”. In an alternate universe maybe, but in the world of Johnny Depps, and Leo DiCaprios, and Adrien Brodys, “jaw-droppingly brilliant”?

As much as I love all things Harry Potter, these acting awards results are a reflection of young fans skewing the vote. When you look at the nominees and who won, its clear that the fan girls and fan boys were voting for their favorites without real concern for merit. I like these kids but based on actual performances, neither should have won.
On another note, I think all the HP kids looked nice. Emma’s dress isn’t as formal as others but I thought it was a flattering color. I also think Bonnie looked particularly lovely with her gorgeous red hair. Its nice to see the kids having a bit of fun.
A lot of media outlets are comparing these awards to the Oscars – not so. They are more like the People’s Choice Awards which is based on fan votes. Cheers to all the UK fans who voted. I didn’t like Emma’s dress at first but after looking at a few photos I thought it was a nice look for her, especially the color.
Glad Yates gave them the night off but they do look exhausted.

i wish that rupert had won: he’s such a great actor and i like him better than dan. i really like the fact that there are some evanna, bonnie and matt photos too and not just the trio, otherwise i’d get really bored! i don’t really care for emma’s dress that much, but the rest of the clothes look really good! congrats to all!
I am so suprised, Ian. I, sir/madame, am 52 years old. I remember actors/actresses, that dwarfed Leo DiCaprio, Johnny Dep and many of the current “stars”. Everyone, dear, starts somewhere. I, too, think Mr Radcliffe has gotten off to a brilliant start. As some one pointed out, earlier, yes some are “better” over all, than Mr Radcliffe, Miss Watson and Mr Grint. However, they did not put in their “best performances” this round. The awards, given, were for portrayals in OOtP.Theirs were given for their particular roles. Respectfully, sir/madame, sometimes the more experianced actor/actress does not “shine”, in a particular role.Nuf said. Kudos, again, to Dan,and Emma! Great Job, kids!
holy God Emma’s outfit is awful! I mean….why? Who chose her outfit, her little brother? Evanna looks great! Bonnie’s cardigan ruins her outfit. I think Matt shouldn’t have shaved he looks waaay better with his beard hehe. it gives him this rugged, manley sexy look when he has his beard.
I am a great big fan of Daniel Radcliffe and think that he performed his best yet in OOTP. However, the national movie awards being public, really means that it’s an award that very much honours favouritism amongst people, and what is bigger than HP, therefore, Dan winning against big actors shouldn’t come as such a big surprise to all of you haters and johnny depp fans, I mean even I know that their better actors than Dan. BUT, you have to consider that at the end of the day, Dan is only 18, whereas actors like Johnny Depp have been around for a long time to bulid up an image for themselves, and Dan has showed that he is also capable of doing controversial roles and prove himself to be in their position in the near future. So kudos to Dan for winning!!!!!!
I have to agree though, whereas Dan may have won due to Ootp AND his role in Equus, which won him many critics and fans, Emma winning just shows for real that HP is in fact VERY popular amongst everyone, because seriously her portrayal of Hermine just gets more and more frustrating to watch in each movie.
On a cool note Alex, emma’s brother, got to go on stage with Emma and the gang when the movie won for the best award. And congrats to Emma, who won against the best of the best. The world thinks you’re a great actress and you are.
congratulations, HP gang! i must say i’m not really shocked they won. =) with the way everyone and everything Harry Potter has escalated to unreachable heights and still escalating! i’m soooo proud of them.
off topic: when i visited the bookstores yesterday supposedly to buy a new copy of PoA, the books were out of stock! there were a handful only of GoF and HBP and no DH at all. (oh, there was a single SS paperback, opened and tattered.) the early books are just gone and off the racks, too. i guess previous unbelievers are converting. ;p
