Our wonderful contest staff has a new competition for the month of September to bring you today. This new competition asks fan artists from all levels to give us their depiction of a scene from Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows along with a brief description, of 100 words or less, referencing the scene and chapter title. Submissions will fall under two categories. First: Hand-Drawn, which will be works in the form of drawings or paintings, or Computer-Generated or Digital Art, which encompasses works created solely or in part using a computer. Submissions in this category must be drawing or painting-based. There will be a strict PG13 rating for all works and photographs, manipulated photographs or animated entries will not be accepted. This artwork must, of course, be completely of your own creation.

The Submission deadline for this contest is September 30, 2007 at 11:59pm EST. To submit your artwork, email [email protected] with the category included in the subject line (i.e. “DH Fan Art – Hand Drawn” or “DH Fan Art – Computer Generated”). You can also upload you work to be included in your fanart portfolio in the Leaky Fan Art Gallery, and tagged “Deathly Hallows Fan Art Contest”. Submissions will be accepted in .jpg, .png, or .gif formats.

There will be a limit of two entries per person to make the competition fair for everyone. Three winners will be chosen from each submission category based upon their interpretation of the scene from the book. Anyone over the age of 13 can submit a Fan Art, including Staff members who are not involved in the judging process. All decisions by our Judges are final.

Complete rules for this contest can be found right here in the Contest Corner forum on our own Leaky Lounge.

Good luck to all who enter!
