I watched this ten times last night – now to show it to my sister! Alas, poor girl, no internet for her. I cannot wait until Friday to see this trailer on the big screen, Whoo Hoo!

Looks like Tom Riddle was a Doctor Who fan. Would you ever believe it?

    Avatar Image says:

Wow! First thank you guys the trailer is great we didnt get to see dumbledore’s hand though

    Avatar Image says:

Oh, this looks nice! I hope it doesn’t skip as many scenes as the 5th movie did. Regardless, it looks like it’s going to be the best one so far. Personally, it’s my favorite book of the series, too.

WHAAAAAAAHH!!!! Me like! :-D I wanna see it! NOW!!! :-D

    Avatar Image says:

    yay :D

    i got chills :P

Looks great, other than the random font in the middle of it.

I loved the trailer. So did my son!!! We’ve watched it a zillion times already and yet I wonder. How soon is Pottercast going to have their “the trailer is finally out” episode and their set report. Come on Melissa—-we know that you are just dying to talk about it. Mugglenet has theirs out already. PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE!!!!!

    Avatar Image says:

Okay fans, who is the girl in the creek that has her wand blasted out of her hand? For the life of me I can’t figure out who it is…I guess I’ll have to go back and re-read HBP soon!!! Oh, and is that Fenrir Greyback’s profile in the same “field”? Watch it frame by frame…right after Harry is running through the field.

How come the Quicktime links don’t work?

    Avatar Image says:

I’ve never cared about the trailers before, but this one is VERY EXCITING. Absolutely CHILLING!

And the younger Dumbledore’s look?? LOL!!!!!

ROFL! The same thought crossed my mind. “Are you the Doctor?”

The girl in the creek is Ginny.

Love the part where they flash from young Tom to Voldemort. Crrreeeepyy!!

    Avatar Image says:

Yes that is Fenrir in profile, and the girl in the water is Ginny! Personally I was afraid that Bonnie was going to look too young and plain to be a convinving Ginny for this film, but in that scene she definately looks pretty and sexy enough to drive all the hogwarts boys wild! Wish they had shown a scene with her and harry. Hopefully we get another trailer before November!

Having watched the trailer a few times (okay more then a few) I noticed something I haven’t seen mentioned yet on the boards. After the memory set up, when Harry plunges his face into the pensive, his clothes are different. The filmakers cut together two different memory scenes before the orphanage scene. One scene of set up and a different scene of Harry diving in. I think that whole set up actually belongs to Slughorn’s memory and Harry diving in could be the orphanage or another memory all together. What do you think? Plausible?

    Avatar Image says:

Happy Birthday Harry! Thanks for the great entertainment :)

    Avatar Image says:

thanks for all those high def. download links! simply awesome!

    Avatar Image says:

Does anyone else suspect that there is only one visit into the penseive?

DD says to Harry “What you are looking at are memories. In this case pertaining to one individual” He then shows Harry a vial with spiralling threads of murkiness, “This is perhaps the most important memory I have collected”

This, to me, indicates that there is only one entry into the pensive – so it will be interesting to see how they explain the huge amount of information Harry gathers in the book.

    Avatar Image says:

I cannot understand young Voldemort’s last sentence: what does he say???

    Avatar Image says:

well, the first two times I clicked on a HBP trailer I got rick rolled, but luckily I didn’t let that deter me. this was amazing!

Riddle’s last sentence is, “I can talk to snakes too. They find me. They whisper things.”

    Avatar Image says:

Sorry, that is: “I can speak to snakes too. They find me. Whisper things.”

    Avatar Image says:

I wonder what those parts with Ginny Disarmed in the creek and Harry running across a cornfield could be… Those ones don’t appear in the books, do they? Could they be Harry’s nightmares?

    Avatar Image says:

It’s an attack at the Burrow. Bellatrix Lestrange and Fenrir Greyback attack the Burrow, they set it on fire and try to trap Harry in this enormous field right around the house.Ginny is at some marshes, probably disarmed by Bellatrix. It’s an added action sequence with Tonks,Lupin,Fred,George,Ron,Arthur and Molly fighting along with Harry and Ginny in the fields.

i love trailers but i especially love hp trailers, i have just seen it at least 5 times in 10 minutes. i wish the boy riddle looked a little more evil because that how i pictured him in the booked pale, cute but just looking as if hes up to something.

    Avatar Image says:

    thanks-links!

    Avatar Image says:

That one’s going to be cool then, just like the trailer! Thanks john!

    Avatar Image says:

EXCELLENT! Fantastic, exciting trailer! I CANNOT wait! Thanks, Leaky! :)

    Avatar Image says:

Did anyone notice that this trailer for the Half Blood Prince doesn’t actually feature… the half blood prince? And no Draco, who’s part in this is pretty stinking important… I suppose if Voldemort is only going to be in the movie in memory, they’d want to at least play up those memories, so they’re focusing their attention on child Voldemort. Still, with that being the case, if they DID drop the Gaunts, I think that’s pretty stupid.

At least book 7 will be given proper respect by being given 2 movies, but I really want this one to be good. The trailer looked good, so I’ll see.

    Avatar Image says:

I agree wholly, Bob – giving the Gaunts the boot would be a quite a disappointment. The 7th movie split is sort of my fallback – any time a cut scene gets me down, I remember we’ll be getting two movies for TDH (yet somehow it’s my least favorite of all the books … you can’t have everything, I suppose).

    Avatar Image says:

    OMG I can’t wait!!!!

    Avatar Image says:

    It was awesome. Thank you!!

    Avatar Image says:

I’ve always been indifferent to HP trailers in the past. They never got me excited about seeing the films. But this one did! I loved reading about young Voldemort in HBP. It was absolutely CHILLING and I LOVE this trailer!!!!! Can’t wait til November!!!!!

    Avatar Image says:

does anybody know if teh trailer coming out tomorrow with the mummy is teh same as this coz i remeber reading in some dif coments that it will be teh new full trailer coming out with the mummy but havnt heard anything else since so i dont know now anybody heard anything on this subject????

    Avatar Image says:

Wowzers this looks great so far, it’s going to be ri-dic-ul-ous! Poor Ron lying on the floor like that, poisoned! Looks like a sad/intense scene. Also, I wonder what scene that was with Ginny dropping her wand like that, looks scary.

    Avatar Image says:

I loved it last night i watched it over and over and over again. I thought Michael Gambon actually seemed to be playing the role of Dumdledore quite well. I hope it is like that through out the entire movie

    Avatar Image says:

The trailer looks like they’ve nailed the mood of the book…..I hope it plays throughout the whole film! The cave scene and explaination of horcruxes is CRUCIAL!

    Avatar Image says:

twins_rock, i’m positive it’s ginny, by the way. hbp trailer looks awesome! i’ll have to check the trailer again about the Fenrir thing though:)

    Avatar Image says:

your right, twins_rock, after seeing the mugglenet frame-by-frame of the hbp trailer, i can see someone who isn’t Harry staring at Ginny through the reeds. i’m pretty sure it’s Greyback. he definetly looks creepy enough. he’s probably the one who disarmed Ginny too. my question is, what the heck is Ginny doing by a creek at night? any suggestions?

    Avatar Image says:

thank you John! i didn’t read your comment on the second page, so i had no idea what Ginny was doing in that marsh. the burrow fighting scene sounds awesome, even if it’s not in the book:)

    Avatar Image says:

    sweet!

    Avatar Image says:

    OMG OMG OMG !!!! squee

    Avatar Image says:

okay so i’ve watched this a hundred times like most of you and im sososososooooooooooooooooooo excited. like. you have no idea. IM SO HAPPY THEY PUT IN RON BEING POISONED XD and uhmm im probably gunna go watch it 100 more times now….. BYE! =]

    Avatar Image says:

and the gaunts and all of the memories better be included. like they seriously scared me when i was just reading the book. i really want to see voldy’s mommy and daddy =] but the child voldy looks exactly as i pictured him i lovelovelove it. =DDD it better live up to the preview!

    Avatar Image says:

and isnt dumbledore’s hair supposed to be like an amber color or something? it looks grey…. =/ well i guess ill just have to deal. anyways.. ive been thinking and idk who to dress up as for the premiere of the movie. my friend says i look like ginny but i dont believe her and i loveee bellatrix and her crazed ways and i think i could soo pull her off but ive had to fight with my friends to get to be bellatrix, although i know i am clearly the craziest therefore the most like her. but i really dont know. any ideas?

    Avatar Image says:

well i have nothing better to do right now. but post comments. as you can see. alright, well the scene with dumbledore standing on like that pile of stuff…. doesnt it look like the room of requirement? with all the hidden objects? bc what is it hes standing on? or is that just what the island in the cave looks like…. very confused by this little aspect… im gunna go read HBP now… peaceee =]

    Avatar Image says:

    this is so cool!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

    Avatar Image says:

the_twins_rock, the creek scene isn’t in the book. It’s Ginny who gets the wand blasted out of her hand. Is there a reason why she appears to be wearing ONLY a bathrobe? XD

    Avatar Image says:

Did anyone watch this trailer and think, “Where the f- is Hermione?!”

    Avatar Image says:

I loved this trailer and I really wanted to see it on the big screen but I saw the Mummy 3 today and there was no HBP trailer. Did this happen to anyone else, or is it just my luck?

    Avatar Image says:

    coooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooool cant wait yay

    Avatar Image says:

yea, paris i definetly thought that. i mean, she is so important to so many people when it comes to these books. i’m going to go and watch the trailer another hundred times, see ya:)

    Avatar Image says:

Well, I went to see The Mummy this weekend – no trailer. The movie was fun – ridiculous, but fun – I wouldn’t have paid full price to see it except I wanted to see my trailer on the big screen – and no luck. :(

    Avatar Image says:

To bobtheduck…yeah, no Half Blood Prince in the trailer, but remember for the FIVE or so people who haven’t read these books, the mystery throughout is who IS actually the HBP…the reader (or in this case the moviegoer) only finds out at the end it is Snape. Too bad no Malfoy, but it is only the first “teaser” type trailer. My bet is they will have longer ones prior to the release, right?...and I laughed at the one who said “where the f—- is Hermione?” Too funny. Also, thanks to those who answered my questions earlier about the girl. NO clue it was Ginny. Bonnie is sure growing up! Too cute.

    Avatar Image says:

“Okay fans, who is the girl in the creek that has her wand blasted out of her hand? For the life of me I can’t figure out who it is…I guess I’ll have to go back and re-read HBP soon!!! “

In the trailer… that looks like Ginny? I don’t remember anything like that in the books… but perhaps it’s a scene of Harry dreaming about something bad happening to her?? Guess we’ll find out…..

    Avatar Image says:

no, the ginny -creek scene isn’t from any of the books. it’s a shame the hbp trailer wasn’t before the mummy though.
