Actress Emma Watson (Hermione Granger) has updated her website today with a diary entry on filming for Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince. She writes today was her first scene working with actor Jim Broadbent, who will be portraying Professor Horace Slughorn in the sixth Harry Potter film. Emma writes:
"It's amazing to be working with him. It's also great because I have been eating profiteroles ALL DAY at Slughorn's dinner party!!!"
Emma goes on to note that she has been hard at work studying for her exams, and she also thanked all who supported her by watching her recent television film "Ballet Shoes."Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince will be released on November 21, 2008.
Mmmm, profiteroles! They’re keeping the party scene in – how cool is that?! I hope it’s as awesomesauce as the scene in the book was. It will be great regardless, though!
I think Emma must be quite a hard-worker to say the least – didn’t she get all A and A* grades for her GCSEs? Plus making the films of course and all the associated publicity she is required to do. Good luck to her if she manages to get out a bit too.
Yes -Emma’s GCSE results were staggerinlgy good and she must be seriously bright ! She is now doing her A levels and would be having the first of her module exams in the next few days Why do I know -because one of my children attends CLC and has them as well as indeed do other A level students throughout the country.
that’s AWSOME….thanks emma… ‘cause she has keeping us informed… those escenes are crucial for the storyline of the movie…. i hope she gets good grades ‘cause she has been a good reporter of HBP!!!!
THIS IS AWSOME, I dont know about Draco but I am all most positive that Snape is at this party in the movie because Alan started filming around the 8th of January or sometime during the early weeks of January. BUT do you know what this could possibly mean , Hermione and Cormac go to the party together, she gets her revenge on Ron taunting her. As always though this is all speculation still, I agree November cant come soon enough.
This is a great scene to have in because it pleases both the people who love the ships and the people who love the darker side of the book.
Can’t wait to see Draco and Snape’s conversation! It is so intriguing!
Let’s just hope it doesn’t get cut!
Go David Yates! I think he gets this book because all the info we have gotten is showing us a great mix between the comedic and dramatic elements of the story.
I’m still mad that they won’t have any Gaunts-how WILL they explain Voldemort’s back story??!! such an important part of the book!!-but I’m glad this scene is in and it sounds like fun.
I really am glad yates is doing this movie. Say what you want about ootp and what was cut….but he nailed the emotions dead on. I’m looking forward to this.
"So ends the famous Harry Potter... Alone in the Chamber of Secrets, forsaken by his friends, defeated at last by the Dark Lord he so unwisely challenged. You'll be back with your dear Mudblood mother soon, Harry... She bought you twelve years of borrowed
When I read this it was almost like reading an excerpt from Hermione’s own journal!
Im watching Ballet Shoes right now on that TVCatchup thing you had to join to watch the JKR documentry – It is incredibly useful.
I must say I absolutly love Ballet Shoes. I was watching it when half way through it had to buffer again and I actually was like “Nooooo!”
I think I may read the book now too!
