Contributions from two actors in the Harry Potter film series will be part of a new charity auction from Book Aid International. The “Book Change Lives” auction will begin next week, with proceeds to benefit Book Aid International’s work in sub-Saharan Africa. With over fifty lots from various politicians, authors and celebs, two will be pieces donated by Alan Rickman (Professor Severus Snape) and Robbie Coltrane (Hagrid). UPDATEDThanks much to Book Aid who sent TLC the images of the two items as follows. From Alan Rickman, this copy of “In the Blink of an Eye.” Robbie Coltrane has also donated a 1994 Folio hard back edition of Mark Twain’s “Huckleberry Finn” illustrated by Harry Brockway, and as seen here, this is inscribed and signed by Mr. Coltrane. Others who have contributed include Dame Helen Mirren, Sir Ian McKellen, author Frederick Forsyth, model Twiggy, UK politicians Boris Johnson and David Cameron and more. Bidding on the charity auction begins October 13 via Ebay and runs until October 27. Stay tuned, we will update once the bidding begins next week.
