I pictured him much older and more grizzled. I think he’s too young (born in 1964 he was only one year old when Lupin was bitten). I’m sure that he’ll be fine, the casting has been pretty spot on so far (Gambon notwithstanding).
I had pictured Michael Caine as either Fenrir or Scrimgeour.
I imagined him as the guy who played Barty Crouch Jr. I mean, he would be perfect !

Well, I was hoping for Bill Nighy. He is older (born in ‘49, I think), and I mean, isn’t he one of the only British actors who has been in a BUNCH of stuff lately….including a cameo in “Hott Fuzz,” co-starring ‘Professor Slughorn’s’ Jim Broadbent…who ISN’T or HASN’T been in a Harry Potter film?
