Two days ago we reported on a new photo and ad from the upcoming Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince film that was contained in Nick Magazine. Today, we can tell you the article was part of a special section in the magazine highlighting a new “Coming Attractions Sweepstakes” that Warner Bros is holding to win a trip to the premiere of the sixth Harry Potter film. According to the magazine, a US premiere of Half-Blood Prince will take place in Los Angeles, California. Open to legal residents of the US ages 6 to 14, one winner of the contest will fly to Hollywood and walk the red carpet at the premiere of the film in November. This contest will open March 21 and run through May 1, 2008. Additional rules and information on this contest is not yet online, however the entry form for the contest is seen via this link where children entering must provide their parents name and email. We will update when more information becomes available. Good luck to all who enter.
On a related note for those who collect these things, the special insert in the April 2008 Nick Magazine also includes a Harry Potter maze and a word fill-in section, asking questions relative to the events in the “After the Burial” chapter of HBP.
isn’t the first premiere in NYC,read that someplace, then it must go to la, then i am wondering if to london—hope Dan can make that with Equus going on durinng the time period[of couse he could have a week off worked into his schdule ,do they do that for stage ]
Willow, I was thinking that too. I don’t think Dan will be able to go… to any premiere, unless there’s also one in NY or unless it’s on a Sunday, (assuming NY theatre is like London and Sunday’s a day off for stage actors).
Willow and anne: I´m pretty sure that Dan will be attending both the US and the UK premiere of HBP…I believe that it will be worked into the schedule of Equus that he had those premieres to attend
When is Equus running ‘til anyway? If it starts in May is it running all the way through the end of November or longer? That seems like a long time for a (sort of) touring play or musical to be stationed in one place, especially if it’s from abroad. Maybe I’m wrong, I dunno.
It does suck that the contest has a specific age range… it makes more sense to let older fans enter that can actually make it there without hassling their parents to take them there or to the airport. Thanks alot WB!!! :-(
ain’t they doing any thing about the London one. Gosh, how many hours did i spend outside and wait to see them and when the cars started rolling in, so did the rain. at least one i would like to be on the red carpet. (OOTP)
"Arthur, is that you?"[br]"Yes," came Mr. Weasley's weary voice. "But I would say that even if I were a Death Eater, dear. Ask the question!"[br]"Oh, honestly..."[br]"Molly!"[br]"All right, all right... What is your dearest ambition?"[br]"To find out how
Once again, only for the US, and only for kids. Don’t they think people that DON’T fit into that age range would like to go???
