There is news tonight that a new documentary on J.K. Rowling is being prepared by ABC News. This behind the scenes documentary will include “several interviews, the book tour for the final “Harry Potter” installment, and a tour of locations that inspired her characters. It even hints to what the future holds for Harry and his friends.” ABC is working with a UK production company to prepare this documentary which is set to air here in the US in November.

Thanks Sarah!

Jo has conducted herself with class and integrity this past week. I, for one, will look forward to seeing this.

From that statement I think that it’s going to be a “rehash” of the ITV doco that was on at Christmas. Does anyone else agree? It’s not a bad thing but it would be good to know if they do use the same footage.

This almost sounds like a rehash of the BBC documentary with some additional footage by ABC. Probably coverage of the trial.

Well, it says they’re working with someone in the UK, so maybe it’ll have some of the same stuff that was in the British one. Which would be okay, ‘cause then I could get it on tape, lol. Still waiting for PBS to show it.

I hope ABC is not as restrictive as ITV was in allowing it to be up on youtube or similar. I posted up JK Year in her life when it was shown here on ITV and after 12 hours youtube took it down. I was sad because so many of you wanted to see it (of course!). Now we are going to be in the same boat outside US! I hope we can see it in Leaky video gallery or youtube. By the way, if anyone wants to see JK year in life, I could try put it up on different site like Metacafe tonight, ITV probably relaxed their restrictons by now.

As long as it is on YouTube so that I can watch it. There never air Harry Potter / JK Rowling documentaries in Australia :(

This really made my day, it’s currently 5:57 AM, and I’m dreading to go to school, and to hear such news as this actually excites me. Good thing it’s going to air in the US, we’ve got loads of fans and I guarantee that someone will record the documentary and place it online, just like the Year in the Life with J.K. Rowling documentary. Wooh! Can’t wait!

I guess the format of it will be similar to the ITV one, but it will be different. It’s focusing round the tour Jo did after DH came out. As I recall, I don’t think there was anything of that in the ITV doco. If I’m not right on that, correct me ; )
