A quick reminder that Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire will be broadcast tonight here in the US on ABC and ABC HD starting at 8pm (ET). As many of you have emailed and asked, we do not believe they will be debuting any new “Half-Blood Prince” footage during tonight’s telecast.

Who can watch it and tell us if there is any HBP stuff?

I highly doubt there will be any HBP stuff, they haven’t even finished filming yet!! We’ll have a teaser trailer probably by late May-early June, then at the end of the summer or sometime in early September we’ll see some behind the scenes stuff. They usually show that type of stuff when they do the ABC Family marathons, which is a different channel than ABC.

People are getting a bit ahead of themselves I think.

I’m really hoping they do show some sneak peeks! Maybe they were meant to be a surprise that’s why they didn’t say anything.

Heather, do you realise that we got the trailer and ABC previews for OotP NINE months before it was released.

It’s now SEVEN months

Haha I live in Australia and Goblet of Fire also premiered on T.V. last night (Saturday) at 8:30pm but because of the time difference we saw it before you Americans. Not that I don’t a the DVD though.

I you ask me, they are being very careful about marketing and promotion. The trailer is being released on the 17th of May and that is when posters will go up in cinemas and everywhere we go will be covered in Harry Potter ads.

I don’t think anyone will be posting comments frequently in the next while because they are all watching GoF. If they live in USA anyway.

Yes! I am watching GoF right now on ABC Channel 20 in Florida. Way fun!!!

But, I have a big question: When is Order of the Phoenix going to be on TV? I live in a rural area and Movie Theaters and Video Stores are a bit far from me and with the cost of Gas and all, alas I’ve not seen it yet. We don’t do Netflix or Blockbuster via Internet as we only have Dial-Up due to high cost of DSL in our area. Ultra-Bummer! Anyway…If anyone knows the real scoop on this, I’d sure love to know.

Thanks a million!

I am 41 years old and watching Goblet right now,and loving every minute of it! Remembering when we all saw it at the movies. Love Mad Eye. This was really my favorite movie I think. Mike Newell did a great job. Wish he would have been able to do another. Oh well. I hope the trailer for HPHBP does come out next month. Woo hoo! :)

I highly beleive this is a credible source:

It was a big day today for cast and crew, the first trailer for the film was preveiwed in a screening room at leavesden. More about that later…

There was a nice little scene between Harry ron and Hermione being filmed today, the scene had apparently only just been written this week but was needed to fill in the gaps or something. Ron was talking about Lavender in the griffindor common room and Hermione overhears when shes doin some homework, the other two clock it and she gets up and leaves the room. Ron asked what was up with her… Aw Emma’s face was a picture.

Now to the trailer…

It went by very quickly but It was epic…

Very exciting stuff Looks incredibly dark, the trailer will be released within the next fortnight so you can all judge for yourselves!

Okay, is it just me, or are they snipping out little moments in GoF right now? Maybe they need to make it shorter for time. Like when Harry & Ron make up after the 1st task, doesn’t Harry say “Caught on, have you? Took you look enough.” But he just said “took you long enough” when I just saw it. And when Mad Eye is teaching and he says something like “The Killing curse. Only one person is known to have survived it and he’s sitting in this room.” After he sips some more Polyjuice potion, it’s supposed to show a shot of Harry pondering what must be in there, and it went right to a commercial break, or the next scene or something! Not that it really matters, but it just seems a little weird if they were cutting like 1 second every here and there…

WOAH! I was right. I just went and got my portable dvd player and played them at the same time. ABC skipped part of the entrance of the champions into the hall, AND THEY TOTALLY CUT NEVILLE AND GINNY DANCING!!! D: awww I love that part. Neville is AMAZING in this movie. I have hugged my TV multiple times just for him. :D Hmm. So are they cutting these bits just for time? That seems unnecessary. Oh well.

HAH! they also took out “Oh my god. I’ve killed Harry Potter!” and then Harry’s 40 foot jump into the air.
