A quick reminder that Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire will be broadcast tonight here in the US on ABC and ABC HD starting at 8pm (ET). As many of you have emailed and asked, we do not believe they will be debuting any new “Half-Blood Prince” footage during tonight’s telecast.

Katie, they also cut out when the twins tried to age potion and turned into old men. They are cutting out a lot to fit it in 3 hours with the comercials. How can they cut Nevilles best line “Oh my god I killed Harry Potter” and Ron telling Harry to piss off. I don’t like what they have done this time. Maybe when they run it ABC Family thy will show the entire movie like they do with the other 3 plus they add exra scenes.

Psh. freaking commercials. sigh They could have just had it like 3 and a half hours. Why put in extra effort to edit? Ah well, I guess they have to put people to work. ;D

Wow, Michele, I didn’t even realize they took out those parts. Heh, haven’t watched this movie in a while.

In Australia they never edit movies on TV. I am shocked that they do that. Wow. Haha looks like we have it better off :)

Well, they did seem to cut quite a bit. Good thing it’s easy enough to get on DVD (although not for everyone though, I guess from reading some of these comments – sorry about that guys).

ABC Network Broadcast Channel.

They cut and hacked it to peices and all the commercial breaks made it very hard to watch. This is my favorite movie and they ruined it. I watched it only because there was nothing else worth watching on TV last night. But the hack job ABC did was horrible, and there were no skeek peeks of any kind for anything.

I’m thinking that when GoF premieres on ABC Family, they might do sneak peeks. Thats how it’s been in the past.

How can they edit down GoF? That sucks. :(

Glad I didn’t watch it.

I’m pretty sure they cut stuff out of the Australian broadcast, too – I noticed a few bits and pieces that seemed shorter (such as when Voldemort put his finger on Harry’s scar – he barely flinched, rather than twisting around in horror; they just cut to the next scene)

Any other Aussie viewers notice this?
