A few days ago we told you that J.K. Rowling was one of 13 authors who have contributed a handwritten “storycard” for a charity auction on June 10. Sponsored by UK booksellers Waterstone’s, proceeds from this auction will benefit the English PEN and Dyslexia Action. Now as part of this event, Waterstone’s has launched a contest asking the public to submit their own stories. Winners of this event, two adults and one child from the Waterstones.com and store entries, will also appear in a postcard book alongside the authors’ stories. This book will be available for purchase later this year, with proceeds of the sales to benefit Dyslexia Action and English PEN as well.

To enter this contest, click here to download a postcard template to do at home, or use the online form. There is no word limit, but they are asking the entry fit on one side of the postcard. All submissions will be available on the website, with the 13 authors submissions (including the one from JKR) will go online June 11. In addition to being published in the special book, “the national winners aged over 18 will also win an Arvon Writing Course and winners under 18 will receive £500 of Waterstone’s vouchers.” Good Luck!

Thanks Andy!
