Another apparent new image from the upcoming “Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince” has surfaced online tonight. In this photo, which you can see here, you can see Snape (Alan Rickman), Draco (Tom Felton), and Filch (David Bradley) at what looks to be a party, most likely the Slughorn party at Christmas. UpdateThanks to Potterish, we now have the same photo available here in color.
The consensus Batmanfan is that , the wizard by Snape cannot logically be Slughorn- he looks nothing remotely like Jim Broadbent. Some think he is the Vampire escort guy. sounds right to me.
Hey Leaky, are we going to be getting a new HBP movie countdown anytime soon? As much as I’ve enjoyed the OotP one, it’s a bit old and outdated by now.
Oh – this is sad. I surprised myself by not finishing the OOTP movie, I think I have just watched it so much I know what is going on so its not interesting. Need something new! Like HBP, anyone else have this happen where you have watched one of the movies so much it just got old. Not to mention I saw it in the theatre 6 times before I watched it multiple times at home too.
I haven’t got tired of OotP yet, although I have reached the point where there are a few scenes I fast forward through (like Harry & Luna in the forest, and the whole Grawp thing) because I didn’t enjoy them that much in the first place. But on the whole, I still LOVE LOVE LOVE OotP. It’s my favorite of the movies so far.
However, I’ll admit I’m pretty tired of PS/SS by now. And I only saw PoA once, and never bothered to watch it again, because I disliked it so intensely.
Wow, Ashley, I thought I was the only one who didn’t like that seen in OotP with Harry and Luna and the thestrals. Everyone else raves about it, but I thought it was, well, not very good.
1. The whole thing with Harry wandering through the forest and just happening to stumble upon Luna Lovegood, who lo and behold just happened to be there at the exact same time felt REALLY contrived to me. The whole scene just had a very tacked-on feel to it; it didn’t flow well with the rest of the movie.
2. This is possibly because I’ve become overly-sensitive about the horrible way they’ve Mary Sue-ified Hermione, but I cringed a little when Luna started making oh-so-insightful comments about Voldemort and what he must be thinking. Luna has a unique sort of wisdom, yes, but now she’s so very wise and omniscient that she can tell what Voldemort is thinking? Please. WB, you ruined Hermione by turning her into a Mary Sue, don’t do the same to Luna.
3. As wonderful as I think Evanna is in the role, and as perfect as I think her voice is for Luna, I can only listen to her speak in that shrill, high-pitched voice for so long before it starts to set my teeth on edge. She speaks enough in that scene that, by the end of it, her voice has really begun to grate on me and I’m feeling decidedly cranky.
4. Overall, I was a big fan of both Dan and Evanna’s acting in OotP, but I didn’t think either of them were at the top of their game in that scene. Dan was rather wooden, and Evanna was trying WAY too hard.
So yeah, I didn’t think that scene was very wonderful. I’m just glad to know I’m not alone.
This picture is from the scene where Filtch catches Malfoy trying to crash the party. From there Harry follows Snape and Malfoy to the bathroom and overhears Snape trying to “Help” Malfoy in whatever hi is doing. Malfoy ends up marching out of the bathroom, leaving Snape at the door and Harry under his invisibilty cloak behind the door. Harry is now definitely convinced that Malfoy is a Death-Eater.
"There is much that I would like to say to you all tonight," said Dumbledore, "but I must first acknowledge the loss of a very fine person, who should be sitting here," he gestured toward the Hufflepuffs, "enjoying our feast with us. I would like you all,
Yay! There’s a coloured version, too, and a new pic of Harry! =D
