The NECA website has been updated with new photos from their upcoming line of 2008 Harry Potter collectible toys and action figures we first brought you back in February. Set for release in July, this new set will feature a number of new pieces along with a special Second Year edition containing new figures of Harry, Fawkes, and the Richard Harris version of Albus Dumbledore. You can view an image of this set of three together via our Image Galleries. As we stated previously, NECA, the North American license holders for Harry Potter products, will release these “Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets” series of action figures in the coming months. We will continue to update as this product comes available in our own Cauldron Shop, which currently has a wide array of action figures in stock.

I really loved Richard Harris as Albus Dumbledore…. He was perfect.*

I agree with Ava. Richard Harris acts more like what I thought Dumbledore would behave like(compared to Michael Gambon). I miss him, but Michael Gambon still is a good actor, even though he seems a little more stiff. These figures look very detailed too!

honestly, im not a big fan of either dumbledores. i think richard harris was a little too weak and kind and mysterious. the real dumbledore is all that, but he also has humor! in GoF bambon did shaken baby syndrome on harry. stupid vive xe

I really don’t think Richard Harris ever got to show the diversity of his acting in the role of Dumbledore because through no fault of his own left the part too early. I think had we been able to see him do his stuff in, say, OOP against Volde, he would have lived up to the character’s diversity very nicely (as he did in most of the roles he played).

Michael Gambon is a very good actor but is miscast in the role of Albus and the fact that he came on board when Cauron had taken the helm and the misguided Cauron decided to dress him as a hippie (and so he will stay for the rest of the series apparently) also works against the movies’ current interpretation of Dumbledore.

I know, Gambon was horrible. But he looks less hippie-ish in six, I saw a horrible-quality trailer from my bootlegger friend. I couldn’t decipher what they were saying, it was blurred. All I can tell for sure is what the music is. It’s “Titans” by X-Ray Dog.

Chamber of Secrets, right next to Sorcerer’s Stone, is still my favorite of the movies. They’ve been going drastically down hill since CoS in my opinion.

Thanks Ethan. I picture Richard Harris when I read the ‘Harry Potter’ books, I even hear his voice in my head… He was magnificent as Albus Percival Wulfric Brian Dumbledore. He’ll be remembered for his last role…

Mark: I agree. ‘Sorcerer’s Stone’ & ‘Chamber Of Secrets’ were the best, & they DO seem to be going down hill, which is a shame… ‘Prisoner Of Azkaban’ Is my favorite book, & I feel like they completely changed the story in the movie, I didn’t like it at all! Why? You ask: FIREBOLT! In ‘Goblet Of Fire’ I felt like it lacked, all the little things, like Veelas & Ludo Bagman. & In ‘Order Of The Phoenix’ all I liked was the visual effects, for instance: The hall of prophecy’s. Well, that’s my movie run-down for ya! Ha ha!

Pff. Purists. :P

Cuaron was the best thing to happen to the movie series. Gambon was a pefrectly good Dumbledore in PoA, and he faltered slightly for whatever reason in GoF.

Ava: i agree with u saying that Ss and CoS were the best movies cause there the only ones that followed the book but i think that Gof was pretty good and the special affects of Oop were good too. but i hated that movie mostly cause it had almost nothing to do with the book.but as for the 2 dumbledores i think that gambon is better, because richard harris was so old and deadish. he was like too old for the part. Even thaugh i i imagened dumbledore being old when i read the books i think that gambon fits the part better. but i agree with the whole hippie thing.

Posted by will or wont “Not interested in seeing any more Potter films directed by David Yates. He’s going to end up doing no less than four, for no other reason than that they couldn’t find anyone else. And if he’s got enough free time to fit in another one I doubt that he’s giving Deathly Hallows the attention it needs. Yates, by the way, is the one responsible for the terrible “Queen’s Handbag” thing. Sure, it was done at short notice but the fact is that it still turned out awful. If he gets the gig for the theme park short film it will be just as unwatchable. Give the reins to someone else for the short film. Please. David Heyman’s strength used to be that he would find the right person for the job, so let’s see that happening again.”

Posted by || “As for the OotP movie, it was not flawless or necessarily better than the rest as a whole. However, the acting was undoubtedly the best so far. The mental-imagery was done perfectly, and in terms of cinematography, it is only bested by PoA. PoA also has the best music, followed by GoF. CoS was the most faithful adaptation. GoF made the best of having to cut the size of the novel. OotP didn’t too so well in that case. And of course, PS/SS laid the groundwork & got the casting right.”

And now heres Kerrie a new edition to the grooup how had some to say: Posted by Kerrie “ED TOM: Yes I 100% agree, Yates and that screenwriter are complete morons. The characters and their relationships were ruined compared to the other movies and the books. And he left out waaay too much. Why the hell was GOF a longer movie then OOTP when OOTP is the longest book!? That doesn’t even make a little bit of sense. I liked OOTP the first time I saw it but after the second time I saw it, I realise how crap and innaccurate it was. There was no character development, and the whole film felt very rushed with not middle to take a breath ya know? Every film has got to have a start, middle and end but OTTP was missing the middle and all the character development. Why the hell did they ask him back to do HBP and DH. He’s going to ruin them! Theres no Bill or Fleur, no Lupin and Tonks forbidden love drama, no moaning myrtle to comfort Draco. I mean, an i ask what they ARE putting in HBP? because it seems that everything is missing! Please excuse the angry rant but I really hate Yates lol. I miss Alfonso, who would have been so perfect to direct DH. Tim Burton would have been so good too, pity he’s so busy.”

Thank you Kerrie i 100% agree with what ever you have to say. Keep it real my homie.

(Ed Tom Speeking) You see now my children, more and more people are realising how bad the OOPt movie was. They are finally realising that David Yates, Goldenberg and that Hooper popper what ever guy are complete gumbi heads. Though there still remains some few confused individuals that still think OOPT was moderately OK-ish and like good and stuff, but like i said, they are confused. Just look at what some so called HP Fan posted.

Posted by Preston “My favorite movie is Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix. It was da bomb. Can I get a HOOT HOOT!”

Now come on is this what we want our children to here. “OOTP da bomb” really, so so confused.

Well i leave you with these last few words, my army is building more and more are joining the cause. Time still remains, we can still save The Deathley Hallows Film from Yates disasterous directorial skills and confounded editing partener. I have hope in Kloves, because he hasn’t failed my yet, but with Yates at every corner i fear the worst. Join me, and we shall rule the galaxy.

P.S. Can i get a HOOT HOOT!!
