A new poster for the upcoming Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince film has now surfaced online. Thanks to Coming Soon for letting us know that at the Cinema EXPO in Amsterdam, Warner Bros displayed a few official posters and promotional material, including this poster of the logo for the sixth Harry Potter film. It simply bears the title, with the year at the bottom of the poster, and does not contain any new images alas.

Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince is due in theaters November 21, 2008

Thanks guys!

I’m with Mollywobble, it’ll be in front of Dark Knight. I can’t believe they’re gonna wait that long to give us a teaser, I mean if this is for HBP… just THINK how secretive they’re goin to be come DH part I and II time!

ABC Family is having a Harry Potter marathon. What a great time to present the trailer for the Half-Blood Prince! Keep your fingers crossed and we may finally get the long awaited trailer.

I’m starting to lose all interest in this upcoming film. I’m usually a go to the premiere at Leicester Square, go to the first midnight showing kinda gal. But WB is faffing around so much with this next film that I doubt I’ll go to that kind of trouble this time around. Seems like they are getting to the point where they feel us hardcore fans will support no matter what so they’ll just be lax about putting teasers, pics, etc out there. And if they give a weak effort at getting us excited then I’ll reply by seeing the film on a random day and only once.

~a super fan, who’d wish WB would give some respect to all the repetitive paying fans by giving us something to be excited about xx

I would laugh if that is the ACTUAL teaser poster! Lazy WB! And I thought the GoF(grammar error making NO SENSE) and OoTP(awkward Voldemort) were pretty bad!

yeah this is getting ridiculus…of course I´ll still be excited to see it, but I´m kinda starting to worry about the quality of this movie or whatever…it just makes me wonder…what the hell is taking so long??? I guess we all don´t want lots of videos like we had for order, but we´re talking about a SIMPLE TRAILER!

I completely agree with you! WB is starting to take us for granted and I’m getting really fed up.

sorry about the double post, and also, I´m worried that it won´t come out even in front of Batman..well, of course, eventually it will come out, but I didn´t know a trailer could take so long, I mean, the point it´s to get everyone excited to see it, right? and from what I see, some people are loosing interest.

I actually like the fact they haven’t revieled SO much…...they usually show so much of the film before it opens people complain about that ,this time it’s the opposite[lol!]go figure…......but I would love a trailer soon.:o)...i think before Dark Knight film will be the place it show

I’m starting to think that we won’t get a teaser trailer… I mean I’ve been around in the fandom for donkey’s years and normally things are starting to buzz around now… and WB hasn’t even mentioned what’s doing… I think they are starting to take us for granted… I mean die hards like me will go at watch it 5 days in the first day alone (that all depends on the day and work/daughter’s school whatever but you get the point). I just hope we’ll get something interesting soon… even a little comment from WB reassuring us that HBP is indeed coming out this year. Will probably be after all the Batman stuff though.

Guys, remember, OotP was released less than a year ago. We’re used to waiting 2 years between each film, so, in that regard, it makes sense that the timing for the teaser is different than what it has been in the past.

If WB is smart, they will release a teaser in front of Dark Knight. Why? Because it’s their biggest film of the summer. If we don’t see anything in front of that film, WB will have made a HUGE mistake.

oh come on guys… everyone who’s so fed up with the filmmakers, or throwing out ideas such as wb are taking the fans for granted… first of all, they know you’ll still go see the film, no matter how irritated you are now. secondly, have a little patience: they’re making a piece of art, right? and art doesn’t necessarily have to be made on your schedule… let the editors do their job. if you rush them you’ll just be on here in a few months complaining that you hated the film.

i’m with willow. i like the suspense. go read the book again! chillax! kick back a little!

We’re used to waiting 2 years between each film,

Er … in what country? The space between the films is generally 18 months, not two years, and it was only one year between the first two.

The first teaser trailer for OotP came out before Happy Feet in November of 2006 – that was 8 months before the movie.

It is absolutely ridiculous that we’ve had NOTHING up to now and HBP is due in theaters in only five months. I’m another hard-core fan who is getting so frustrated as to be losing interest in the whole thing.
