Several retailers have now uploaded new images from some of the 2009 Harry Potter calendars. Danilo.com and Amazon.com both have new images from the 2009 Square Calendar as well as the Slim Calendar. Anyway, the calender. The front cover looks awful. Who thought Harry in that stance looked good?
The rest of the calender looks fine I guess.. not really exciting though.
However, I was pleased to see Luna on the back cover of the narrow calender.
Yea Dawn and his hand still clearly has too many fingers…what is he some alien now? who the heck was the graphic designer? lol I’d really like to see some darker, more mature looking images in the future for DH.
They’ve been using this photoshopped picture of Harry on promotional items since around last March. Isn’t it a bit redundant to still be complaining about it?

besides, I was going for a London-Tipton-Style YaY! Me!, it wasn’t supposed to have any thoughts put into it!
Even if the movie does not get released until July, you can’t postpone the release of a calendar. Will Harry Potter merchandise get shelved until the summer or will they get to be out for the holiday season? What good is a calendar in July? Does Warner Bros have that control over their licensees or is this something they have to forfeit because of legal contract issues? I hope Half-Blood merchandise is still released on schedule. I think especially if they come out now I will buy more stuff just to support the poor vendors who are getting screwed by WB’s delay.
And yes, that pose has always felt odd and cheesy to me. The angle of the wand makes Dan’s forefinger and thumb look very strange but he still really only has 5 fingers. They should have caught that. Weird.
