Previously we told you of the special prequel to the Harry Potter series written by J.K. Rowling for charity. This prequel was then published in a book called “What’s Your Story,” with the book rapidly selling out in the first days it was available. Thanks to TLC reader Roonwit, we can report that Waterstone’s has this book now back in stock, and available for purchase here.
UPDATE: It would appear it’s out of stock yet again, as they have now removed the page. Sorry folks!
The prequel features a short adventure with James Potter and Sirius Black several years before the birth of Harry. All profits from the sale of this book benefit Dyslexia Action and English PEN.
Thanks Roonwit!
AAAH! Thank you so much, Waterstone’s! I was hoping they would print more copies, but I wasn’t sure they would. Now I’m happy ;D buys
Thats great news as I missed it first time too. Is it available in the store though, or only online? I guess I’ll just have to call the store.
Anything Jo writes is so special. Especially cheques.
Yikes. If were to order it and have it shipped to me here in the US, I’d have to pay £5.00, which is about $9.25USD, and shipping is another £7.98, so altogether, it would be $24 USD. Ouch. That’s almost double what I paid for my copy of Deathly Hallows. Does anyone know if it will be published here in the US?
Wow, 24 is a lot :S
Does anyone know what it is Canadian? I’m guessing it’d be around that much too, and I have a friend who was going to sell me a copy for 18…
Also, how did you get DH so cheap? Mine was 50 bucks.
Emily, I don’t know if you bought yours from Bloomsbury or Scholastic, or if that makes a difference, but I think I paid $15 USD for mine from Amazon.com. Mine was the Scholastic version, if that helps. My mother-in-law gave me the British cloth-bound “special edition” version, and I think it was somewhat more expensive (not including shipping, which was certainly more to get it stateside).
I just tried to order one (yeah – for $24… I think I am officially obsessed) – but shortly after I ordered it I got an email saying it was currently out of stock, but they were trying to get more… pout
Speaking of books has anyone heard when they are going to release Deathly Hallows in paperback?
