Well, WB might have delayed the release of “Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince” until July of next year, but the promised test screenings of the movie are taking place this month as announced previously by director David Yates. Tonight, one such test screening was held in Chicago and there is a thread ongoing in our forum that contains a report of the film, including a description on the Harry Ginny kiss, Slughorn and more. I KNEW it was going to be for HBP! I was invited to it yesterday, but when I called to RSVP, it was already full. I’m incredibly jealous of everyone who got to go.
Wow, this actually makes me very angry. As others have said I was just getting used to the whole July 2009 deal and now I hear that some HP have already seen the film! 10 MONTHS before I get to…. wow very depressing :(
I don’t want the movie spoiled by reading the other comments or the forum, but it does make me sad that more and more people are getting to see the movie when we have to wait till July. 313 days left! : (
Okay, after having a bit of time to sink in this depressing news about the H/G kiss, I am now officially mad. Don’t they EVER get ANYTHING right? Seriously. I mean, WTF?! So now we have two kisses in the RoR. (Cho, Ginny) That’s ridiculous & stupid. I usually don’t complain about this stuff, but since I`m not going to see this until next year, I`m going to complain as much as I want. So I`m guessing Ron & Lavender are going to kiss in the Gryffindor Common Room then? Well, I saw that coming anyway. But the fact that GINNY kisses Harry makes me angry! And no tiara? What is happening to this movie? It’s seriously stupid from my point of view right now. And the portrayal of Slughorn makes me angry too. Steve Kloves sucks. I never liked him anyway. He gives Hermione too many lines and I guess now Harry and Ginny’s kiss is ruined.
sobs I can’t believe what they did to the H/G kiss. that was one of my favorite parts of the book! the way the poster describes it sounds really awful, in my opinion. :( i guess i’ll get over it eventually.
but seriously, Harry flirting with a waitress?? that is so out of character it’s ridiculous. I’m sorry, but i can’t imagine him flirting with some random girl. it’s too wierd!!
i hope the rest of the movie is better. but now what I really want to know is where the movie ends if the funeral isn’t in it..
Well, I`m not all disappointed with the flirting-with-waitress thing. I knew that already. SS reported that. But I thought that would be in the Three Broomsticks – not *SPOILER! some random stupid Little Whinging coffee shop. That’s stupid..

Oh well h/G sucked in the book so whatever. What about Ron/hermione/lavendar? How did that play out? was it as funny as they make it out to be?
