Two bits of casting news today for Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows. First Hollywood Reporter has an article online stating longtime Scottish character actor David O’Hara (Braveheart, Hotel Rwanda, Tristan & Isolde) will be taking on the part of Albert Runcorn. As the paper reminds us Albert Runcorn is the “Ministry of Magic employee who
gets impersonated by Potter to get into the Ministry.”

Finally a minor bit of news courtesy MN who reports the part of Kreacher will be now be voiced by actor Simon Mcburney, apparently replacing Tim Bateson who voiced the character in OotP.

Production continues in London, England for Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows, with Part One due in theaters Thanksgiving Weekend, November 2010.

Avatar Imagemonicahp2009 says: It seems that they are going to do this movie right. i just hope there's enough emotion to come with it.Avatar Imagesimos says: They are including that too ! Awesome :)Avatar ImageFleur-de- Lily says: Excellent! Avatar ImagegaylebathanHP says: AAWWEESSOMMEE!!!Avatar ImageAmy Darlene says: OoO he's very good... and it will be an interesting part. not only establishing a character but also playing harry playing the character... interesting... and he gets to work with Mark Williams if they keep that scene in...which they should. Avatar ImageDolemite says: Only about a year away from the first DH movie.Avatar ImageJeannine says: David O'Hara was also in the Oscar winning The Departed and played Bill Sikes...such a mean character.... in the last Oliver Twist tv film......good actor!!! He will be perfect for this role and am so glad he will be in a HP film!!!!!!!!Avatar Imagebengtson_98 says: Can Not Wait... I hope because they are spliting it in two that we get a lot more of this book than the others. Totally looking forward to it!!Avatar ImageCourtneyPotter says: OK so I am very happy about the movie coming out in Nov 2010 but I always go to my grandparents house for thanksgiving so I'm going to be there and the whole side of my moms family are a bunch of Harry Potter haters so i wont be able to see it wqhen it first opens. :( But of course the date might change, we all know how WB works.Avatar ImageMoose_Starr says: So now I'm already excited for this movie ... lol. The Ministry scenes should be awesome :) It's too bad they didnt get the same actor for the role of Kreacher ... I wonder why ?Avatar Imagebudb says: Has there been anything official yet on John Hurt, Clémence Poésy, or even Stanislav Ianevski? Or Natalia Tena and Imelda Staunton? There are several crucial gaps in the overall story line that cannot be resolved (as far as I can see) without them.... For that matter, what about William Melling? I've grown fond of Nigel....Avatar Imagegoodenough says: Cool, I'm glad they're keeping Runcorn in. I can't wait to see the Minestry sceens. Hopefully they'll be as good as in the books. Avatar ImageHPNAIV says: For some reason, I always pictured Albert to be a black man. I don't know why...? Haha. But still - I'm happy that he's in! =)Avatar Imagetonksgirl says: excitement!!!! ahhh! :D Avatar ImageSammysaint says: Not long not long! Comes out same day as my Prom but even if im late for prom, shall be worth it! Repping the house of Ravenclaw ;)Avatar Imagepotter2005 says: Me too ChristinePotter. I always imagined him as a tall, muscular black guy : )Avatar ImageR-for-H says: Yeah cool!Avatar Imagecghambright says: I love both of these actors!!! I just saw David in THE DEPARTED and I love the tudors!! I could've sworn Albert Runcorn is a big, black man in the book, but I still think he will do a great job. I guess that means they WILL be using the Polyjuice instead of having the trio do that stuff. And Simon is a great actor...he's kind of soft spoken, but I guess that will work for Kreacher. Avatar Imagebudb says: thanks, Lilleby, hadn't heard that it was official! there are way too many story line gaps to plug in DH! wonder how they are going to do it?Avatar ImageSammysaint says: Excellent!Avatar Imagekingdom says: woo! this kind of news gets us all rattled up anxiously for the deathly hallows! can't wait!! =]Avatar Imageliv-wa says: OOO Excellent! Anyone who can do Bill Sykes (even if it was in the weird Dreyfuss/Wood version) can do Runcorn no problem.Avatar ImageLilleby says: budb: John Hurt is officially returning as Ollivander(:Avatar ImageJTEL99 says: Cool! :-DAvatar ImageLivelaughlovepotter says: Just how I pictured Runcorn! Avatar ImageWON_TWO says: Can't wait...Avatar Imagespicefan1978 says: Still want news on Clemence Posey!Avatar Imagesaffran says: thanxAvatar ImageHPHealer says: I also pictured Runcorn as a tall, muscular, black man. I have no worries though, I am sure O'Hara will do a fine job.Avatar ImageAnnewane says: I was just mentioning to friends that the only two of the many UK actors I enjoy not involved with the HP films were Colin Firth and David O'Hara. Now I can check David off that very short list. Can't wait to see him! Now if they could only cast Colin. :)Avatar ImageMidnightSun321 says: ooooooooooooohh!!Avatar ImageHGROSS44 says: David will do a great jobAvatar Imagebookmonster79 says: Ok this is great news. But I still have not seen the Dursley's confirmed for DH. What is up with that.Avatar ImageHGROSS44 says: David will b great in that part can't wait make one's mouth water.Avatar Imagecheeserpleaser says: It is a pity that the same person could not remain to play Kreacher in the seventh film. Still, I am very optimistic about both of these choices and wish them the best of luck in portraying their respective characters.Avatar ImageHeavenly_Horcrux says: This is great!Avatar ImageTamyris says: Yeah that´s all very well. But what about Fleur?Avatar ImageTamyris says: Runcorn was supposed to be a black man!Avatar ImageLeeann says: niceAvatar ImageHermioneRon4ever says: Awesome!
