Dan Radcliffe Does Not Want to be A Hobbit

The author of the LA Times Hero Complex Blog recently went to Leavesden studios for a series of interviews with cast members on the set of Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows which are due later this fall. While there, Geoff Boucher spoke to actor Dan Radcliffe regarding the persistent rumors that Dan was on the short list to be cast in the upcoming film production of “The Hobbit.” In this new interview, Dan firmly states he has no interest in the project with “any wizards in it. “I’d have to say, ‘Thanks but no thanks,’ not that anyone has asked me. Honestly, I don’t think they would want me anyway, it’s just too
close. Whatever I do next, I don’t think there will be any wizards in

Dan also weighs in on who he think a good candidate for the part of the beloved young Hobbit Bilbo Baggins: “James McAvoy is fantastic. I think he should play it. I’ve done the fantasy-film thing. Actually, so has he, with the ‘Chronicles of Narnia,’
of course. But I’ve done it for longer. He can take over. I’m done. I
don’t think anybody involved in that would want me to, either.”

James McAvory WILL be fantastic!!!Avatar ImageAudreyLouiseLovegood says: Dan is such a sweetheart :DAvatar ImageBlibbering Humdinger says: He seems very anxious about being typecasted. I look forward to what he will do next; I imagine it will be something totally new.Avatar Imagemugglenan says: I suppose after playing a wizard for so many years i'd make sence to try on something different. good for Dan taking charge of his film career.Avatar ImagechrisbDTM says: i dont want him to be a hobbit eitherAvatar ImageNCMcGonagall says: Oh, Sue! "Short list" I can't believe you chose that phrase innocently! LOL! Good for Dan for understanding that his fans would rather see him challenged in many ways other than as "just" a fantasy hero!Avatar ImageLuce_depp says: hahaha "short-list" loving the pun. Dan as a hobbit...hmmm too wierdAvatar ImageTasyaWeasley says: i like him as a wizard :) i wont him be a hobbit eitherAvatar Imageimpoohnfrenz says: I think he should broaden his film career. He deserves to try something new!Avatar Imageabhand2 says: I should like to see him in an action-comedy, perhaps a period action-comedy, taking place in the late 1800's/early 1900's.Avatar ImageMoose_Starr says: It's too bad that Dan doesnt want to star in The Hobbit but, I can totally understand why, although with his ventures into the stage andother movie genres with roles in December Boys and My Boy Jack, he's already making moves to not be typecast. While I would love for Dan to be correct about James McAvoy, I read (although it could have been a rumor) that James McAvoy had denied being cast for a role in The Hobbit. I think he would have been great and, he has had experience playing a magical creature which I thought he did so well. It would be awesome if it turned out that Dan was right and James McAvoy gets the role.Avatar ImageAsta says: Hahaha........bt i think he is better as a wizard....Avatar ImageWingardium Leviosa says: Haha, this title made me laugh.Avatar Imagegryffindor1991 says: i dont blame him. i would want to be one either.Avatar ImageMera004 says: Ooh, I love James McAvoy!! :D And I can understand Dan wanting a break from fantasy films for awhile. :) Avatar Image-MischiefManaged- says: It goes the other way too, doesn't it? I seem to recall reading that before Dumbledore was cast, either originally or after Richard Harris' death, the wonderful Sir Ian McKellen was asked to play Dumbledore.. And he declined to take the part, saying that he has enough trouble living up to one great wizard, let alone two. As much as I love Dan as Harry (and think he *is* Harry, in a way), as much as I love his involvement in these films and this fandom, and as devastated I get when I think that the end is near, I can totally understand why he wants to steer clear of fantasy after the DH films are finished. Playing someone as iconic as The Boy Who Lived for 10+ years is enough to make *anyone* afraid of being typecast.Avatar Imagealegria35 says: lol.. he will be adorable as a hobbit... i still remember Frodo.. lol...Avatar Imagemjkalldaway says: i agree. who would want to be a hobbit?Avatar Imagealegria35 says: @MischiefManaged... he had already done his part of not being typecasted as Harry, he accepted Equus at Westend, and reprised it in Broadway. And he is brillian in "December Boys". He will be a great actor, I know it. He just lack the heigh though. I think it's time he takes some of them growth balls..Avatar Imagecheeserpleaser says: I certainly do agree with him that James McAvoy would be perfect for such a role!Avatar ImageLovelySlytherinWitch19 says: Dan is so cool :)Avatar ImageRobbie Rowe says: Ah, well that was nice of Daniel Radcliffe to say there at the end I feel. Hope he does well in future films, whatever they may be.Avatar ImageErinM says: He now has the luxury to sit back and do things that are meaningful to him...it's not like he's going to "work" because he'll need to pay the bills! Good for him. Leaky friends have so much love for Dan...I wonder if he's got an account here just to check in on what people are saying about him! Maybe???Avatar ImageJoost says: I heard he's gonna be Jason in a new Friday The 13th sequel. Talk about typecasting!Avatar ImageFloridianFlounder95 says: lol, I giggled throughout the entire thing! I don't think LotR fans would want him in the Hobbit either. O_oAvatar ImageWON_TWO says: Definitely NOT a Hobbit!Avatar Imageanisia says: It's understandable why he doesn't want to do it and I for one would find it weird. Avatar ImageJTEL99 says: Yeah, I think he's probably done with the whole fantasy genre. Can't blame him! :-DAvatar ImageBewareoftheNargles says: well, i'm not a dan fan...or a hobbit fan, actually. but I wouldn't want to see him in anything similar to harry potter, not only because he'll be typecast but because i would see that as a betrayal - i shouldn't do, but i would.Avatar ImageRosalie Granger says: I don't want Dan to be a hobbit i want him to stay Harry Potter foreverAvatar Imagesunlitdays says: ya yeah no that would be aweful. but james macavoy is a great idea! hes so sexy too... :PAvatar Imageemmalinnankivi says: i agree with him - he must be wanting to do something new!Avatar ImageScottMan says: Heh, I love Dan, he's so candid. And I agree, James McAvoy would be terrific!Avatar ImageJeannine says: @aligea35...are you not aware a lot of the great actors have not been tall....that is a myth.......in fact one of the very best...Mickey Rooney is only 5"3"..and many today are very short ...it's an illusion.......we know about illusion and majgic here don't we?....you might want to do your homework on actors ...past and present.... a lot of them stood n boxes!! LOL...for real. I'm Soooo glad Dan has said he doesn't want to do these films..theres apparently going to be at least two [ 2 ] The Hobbit films ......but I'm also glad they thought enough of him to think to put him on the 'short list" ..a term which means a small amount of people who may be sought for a spacific part in a film.... And I so agree about James McAvery ...Dan is right..he would be the perfect [ ! ] choice. Now if they said Dan was going to be in the other film Pater Jackson is making a WWII film "Damn Buster" I would say Go! Dan!!! do it!!Avatar ImageJeannine says: @aligea35...are you not aware a lot of the great actors have not been tall....that is a myth.......in fact one of the very best...Mickey Rooney is only 5"3"..and many today are very short ...it's an illusion.......we know about illusion and majgic here don't we?....you might want to do your homework on actors ...past and present.... a lot of them stood n boxes!! Avatar ImageBad-Muggle says: I love Dan, he's so up front and honest. I could see him doing a role as a Hobbit, it would be funny... hmm... idea. Anyhoo.. he's right though James McAvoy (another of my favorite actors) would be great as hobbit. Avatar Imageweasleygirl295 says: I just read this because of the title...in my head it was different...Avatar ImageDiamondWings says: you need something different!!! ILYAvatar ImagePols says: lol.... i am with Dan on this one, i will prefer to see him in new stuff, but he will always be our favourite wizard...Avatar ImageCeltise says: *james fan girl squeeeeeeeee*Avatar ImageNosebleed Nougat says: I can't see him staring in anything but harry potter but if he had to he's probably be in a action movie... lolAvatar ImagePollytomat says: Can't blame him! +++ fairly speaking, I don't think he would be a good hobbit)))) Avatar Image-MischiefManaged- says: Also, like some ppl here have said, for me, too, Dan is Harry Potter forever, just like Elijah Wood is Frodo forever... Or, at least, until they both have put a couple of decades between themselves and playing these iconic roles, the most loved fictional characters of all time. Or, alternatively, until they manage to pull dominicmonaghans and land themselves roles like he did, as Charlie Pace in Lost. Although, despite Dom's role in Lost, in many ways he's still Merry to me and will always be so. Hobbits <3Avatar ImageXy4Tonks says: I am glad he wont do the hobbit either, and I think James McAvoy would do a good job as well. At comic con a couple of weeks ago Peter Jackson said they have not even gotten the green light from the studio yet cause the script is not complete. He said once they do that and the project gets the green light that he will begin to see who will fit what part. All in all I will look forward to w/e Daniel does in the future he is a good actor.Avatar Imageminishiva says: Yeah I think he is right.Avatar Imageweasleyalltheway says: no i agree. i mean, it just seems lame when people do the same thing over and over. i don't like HUGE leaps though. Avatar Imageweasleyalltheway says: like zac efron for example, he just did the movie seventen again, which wasn't a muscal, and didn't have dancing and singing, and as a very differnt kind of humor to HSM, but he still gotto play basketball and be a high school heartthrob ;P Avatar Imageweasleyalltheway says: i think dan should pick roles that are as complex and well writtenas harry, that would suit him well i think :)Avatar Imagehermionesclone says: James is really good! He would definitely make a good Bilbo Baggins in The Hobbit. I agree with Dan: if he did this, it would be too much into the fantasy genre. he should try something new and different. It just goes to show that one of the few socially acceptable things to ridicule these days is a person's height. Alegria35, height has no correlation to a person’s ability or worth. As was said about Ginny, size does not determine one’s power. So I am not sure what would be enhanced about Dan Radcliffe if he were taller. One can’t change how tall or not they any more than they can their race and it is wrong to ridicule someone for it. It is the size of one’s character that counts. Avatar Imagewandmastercalum says: I wouldn't mind. It was a good book. But Dan as a hobbit... no way!! God I get the feeling he hates HP now. I'm probably gonna have ppl hating but I mean it as everytime I see him in an interview he's realy not intrested in HP and always negative about it. I know its coz he's tired of filming it I don;'t think thats the only reason. I mean he wanted Harry dead so he would go back to film him! Avatar Imagewandmastercalum says: Oops I meant not go back to film as Harry.Avatar Imagewandmastercalum says: Oops I meant not go back to film as Harry.Avatar ImageBrosia23 says: That is so smart of him, to not get caught in the rolls of the great wizarding side kick. It would like to see him as Bilbo, but I get it, absolutely. Good call of James McAvoy, though.Avatar Imagelau399 says: hahahahhaa. When I read the title I started laughing. Avatar Imagecghambright says: Lmao @ the title of this story. I think Dan would be awesome as Bilbo, but I can definitely see why he wouldn't want to do it. He's been making big budget fantasy films since he was 11 years old and The Hobbit is based on another beloved book. So I'm sure he wants to move away from that genre and do something new. Even though he has an uncanny resemblance to Elijah Wood aka Frodo. I agree with the choice of James McAvoy though or even David Tennant. They would both be great Bilbos. But James gets my top pick. I love him. Avatar ImagechrisbDTM says: i would like to see the other interviews from leavesdenAvatar ImagecrazyforSeverus says: The Hobbit was my favourite Tolkein book. I can't imagine Dan being anything but Harry Potter. I'd like to see him make it in another movie though and be known for something other than Harry Potter.Avatar Imagebettb says: Dan's done plenty of other things, at this point, and not another wizard in the bunch. Good for him, I say. I want to see him in wildly different things... but something (else, besides "David Copperfield") on the the US public TV's "Masterpiece," so that I can see it first-run!Avatar ImageGiant Squid says: if he did play a hobbit than people who are not such big fans like us would get the movies mixed up! errrrrrrrrrr maybe not. actually what ever dan does is good.Avatar ImageGlowingnargle says: As much as a harry potter fan I am, I think that somebody shorter and older should play Bilbo Baggins or the other hobbits.Avatar Imagesnapes_half-blood_princess says: I think that is a wise decision on his part.Avatar ImageRaWr...WeReWoLf says: lol, i can't imagine him playing a hobbit ;DAvatar ImageWerewolves Rule says: I've read the hobbit and I don't think Dan would be a good hobbit, so I think he made a good choice in staying out of it. I don't have anything against Dan, but still...though I wouldn't want to be a hobbit either. ~WR'sAvatar ImageHermione Elizabeth says: I don't blame Dan for wanting to leave all the wizardry behind him. Harry Potter has been in his life for so long that he probably wants to do something different... which is fine with me. :)Avatar ImageCarol Carvalho says: hahahaha SHORT list! rlol..... Oh boy.... Sue you've made my day!Avatar ImageKimberlyZ says: i think james mcAvoy would make a better role as a hobbit. i mean, from mr. tumnus to baggins makes total sense. Avatar Imagechanman says: Yeah he does sound pretty anxious about being typecasted. When he moves on to other things i hope he never forgets which series made him!Avatar Imagemadman1277 says: Lol, cant imagine him as a hobbitAvatar ImageLauraKeaton says: I just can't picture Dan as a hobbit...so i'm glad he doesn't want the part. Can't wait to see what he does do after Potter though.Avatar ImageCandyCane2304 says: I don' t think Dan lothes Harry Pottert but I do understand why he doesn't want to be in the "Hobbit". Avatar ImageBlatcher914 says: Who wouldn't want to be a hobbit lolAvatar ImageDumbledore1996 says: i can't imagine anything as horrible...Avatar Imageothfhp says: I agree it might be too "close" with the whole fantasy plpot/wizardsAvatar Imagelizzardbreath says: hahahahahaha he always cracks me up I don't want him to be a hobbit either.Avatar Imagedaharja says: Awww, I love him, and I although I love fantasy and would therefore enjoy seeing him in another fantasy film, I respect and understand his desire to do something different and show that he's more than a wizard. (Though you can't get any better than a wizard, right?)Avatar ImageAndreaB09 says: Ahh poor dan. I dont blame him much. i wouldnt either, but James should definatly. that would be very cool. Lol Funny title too!Avatar ImageThe Stew says: :DAvatar ImageThe Stew says: Dan as a hobbit....awkward.Avatar ImageThe Stew says: Just got the "short-list" pun by the way... xDAvatar Imagebiiigbob says: Dan deserves to continue to grow as an actor. I saw December Boys and My Boy Jack. He was very good in both of them. I know it's hard not to see Harry for a few minutes when Dan is in another role, but within a few minutes, Dan sold his other characters in those movies. My understanding is that he did the same with his stage role in Equus. Yes, we fans enjoy watching actors playing characters we love, but we have to support them in other roles as well. With our support, those actors can avoid the trappings of being type cast if we convince producers that we are willing to give those actors the chance to do something different. True, if they stink trying to play other roles, then encouraging support can only last so long. But if they prove they can be more than a one note actor, they deserve the chance to hit as many notes as they can, and more power to them. In the end, we all can win.Avatar ImagetheREALGinnyWeasley says: I understand where he is coming from.....aww I love DanAvatar Imagehermionerules1844 says: It's really hard to see him as anybody, but Harry Potter.Avatar Imageweasleymyking says: wow that's so sad. you can't say just because your short, want to be a hobbit? it sounds awfully rude!Avatar Imagehermionerules1844 says: It's really hard to see him as anybody, but Harry Potter.Avatar Imageweasleymyking says: wow that's so sad. you can't say just because your short, want to be a hobbit? it sounds awfully rude!Avatar Imagebecmajec says: haha but they wouldn't even have to make him look shorter haha. i definitely get why he doesn't want to get involved in more fantasy anytime soon and anyway, i don't think he really has that hobbit 'look' , apart from the stature, of course :)Avatar ImageC_B_Mia says: I dont really understand why he wouldnt want to do another movie. Then again, i havent been playing a teenage wizard for 10 years o my life. :)Avatar ImageKyatenaru says: Yeah, that's gunna be interesting. xD The Hobbit is the only Tolkien book I've read. The others are written in such a boring style for me. :/Avatar ImageBeAchL0veEr05 says: Ah?! Dan as a hobbit? That would be funny! But no, I couldn't see him as one. I don't care so much who plays Bilbo, I just want to see what Thorin looks like! xDAvatar ImageBeAchL0veEr05 says: lol... I just got "short list" because Hobbits are short. haha. :DAvatar Imageholey says: I love James McAvoy. Good on Dan for suggesting him!Avatar Imagealeda says: :)Avatar Imagealeda says: :)Avatar ImageBeAchL0veEr05 says: @-MischiefManaged- lol, guess what? I just found out that Merry was in Lost last night when my friend told me when we were watching Fellowship! He'll always be Merry to me because I don't watch Lost.Avatar Imagetayler18 says: ouch, that sorta hit me hard. Avatar ImageGryffindorGrace says: Good for Daniel Radcliffe! I don't blame him. :) If I were him, I would want to move forward and open my horizon with new acting experiences. I'm glad he's stepping out of his wizarding world. :DAvatar Imageoldenoughtoknowbetter says: I wouldn't want him to be a Hobbit either... "You're a Wizard, Harry"Avatar Image-MischiefManaged- says: *@BeAchL0veEr05 [Becky]☼*, I watch Lost and back when Dominic Monaghan was cast in it, I was very happy about it but also a bit sad, because it meant that the Fellowship had truly moved on. Of course, I had already seen other LOTR actors in other films, like Billy Boyd in Master and Commander and Elijah Wood in Eternal Sunshine Of The Spotless Mind and Viggo in Hidalgo and whatnot, but Dom's involvement in Lost kinda finalised the end of the Fellowship for me. However, I loved his role as Charlie in Lost and was ***SPOILER ALERT*** very sad when Charlie made the ultimate sacrifice. But, regardless of Dom's role in Lost, he will always be Merry to me, a little Hobbit from The Shire. I'm sure Dan realises it that in some ways, many people will always see him as Harry, and that's probably one reason why he prefers to steer clear of similarly iconic roles for a while. I can't blame him for it and I truly wish him the best, wherever his path will take him after HP.Avatar Imagegoodenough says: hahaha! Well he on the short side.. :PAvatar Imagex_Potter_Lover_Forever_x says: I think that's good, I mean I think he is a great actor and doesn't want to get stuck in rut with the same type films and characters. And Sue "short-list?!" ROFL!!Avatar Imageevannaa says: Dan doesn't really look like how I imagined hobbits at all.. Though he could probably make a good hobbit if he wanted too. I liked the Hobbit better than the LotR books.. it is much nicer to read. Lol, short list..Avatar ImageJaeliaVerdette says: Umm... I know I wouldn't want to be a hobbit either, though James McAvory WOULD do a good job. Avatar Imagebudb says: But when they get around to remaking the HP tales for BBC (won't happen in my lifetime!), he should play Snape, which turns out to be the real juicy roleAvatar ImageFifi says: It's weird trying imagine Dan as a hobbit. I think he deserves a change from playing a wizard for a long time so I totally agree with him. Avatar ImageKennedyJames says: I think after a decade of Harry Potter, he deserves to take a break from it. He's already done well in the side projects he's done. I wouldn't wanna see h im in The HObbit, because those are just two fanbases you don't cross LOL. But I can understand his reasoning. Avatar ImageGanduean-Vampiress says: can you see him as a hobbitAvatar Imagebeewell says: I think that Dan is done with the magic in films so far. He probably would like a rest from it until something as good as HP comes along. Him being typecast wouldn't happen since he has done other things but you know how people are. I think he would make a good one but he is right...let someone else do it for a change.Avatar ImageHermioneRon4ever says: Can't wait to see the Hobbit :) But I can see why he wouldn't want to do itAvatar Image-MischiefManaged- says: *@KennedyJames*, LOL, I absolutely adore HP and I absolutely adore LOTR and The Hobbit. So no, you can quite easily cross over those two fandoms :-D Dumbledore and Gandalf are the two greatest wizards of all time, I love Harry, Ron, Hermione, Fred, George and the Order members etc just as much as I love Frodo and the other Hobbitses and Aragorn and the rest of the Fellowship, etc. That said, I'm not sure how I would feel if some of the most notable actors in the HP franchise crossed over to The Hobbit. Rob Pattinson seems to have done ok when he jumped from the Potterworld to Twilight, but he was never a major character in the HP films anyway. If someone like Dan, Rupert (though I'm sure he'd make a great hobbit, LOL) or Emma, or someone like Alan Rickman, Maggie Smith or Michael Gambon jumped from HP to The Hobbit, it would feel very very weird. Just like it would have been very weird to see some LOTR actor in a major role in the HP movies.Avatar ImageMidnightSun321 says: aww :) such a sweetiepie :) :P the title was sooo funny!!! i was like : Dan Radcliffe does not want to be a Hobbit? Why ever not?! :P i luv James McAvoy! hes really good in Narnia and Atonement!!! :)Avatar ImageLulubelleI says: I don't think he'd make a good hobbit.Avatar ImagePhylis says: I think I would want to pursue different roles and stories and understand Dan's reluctance. Avatar ImageJeannine says: For me Dan is not Harry Potter....he is 'the actor' who I love watching him portray that character, bring him to life .....but he isn't actually him. I think he would also make a terrific Hobbit but am so glad he isn't concidering it.....he needs to move on ...after the HP series is complete ,to different projects ,of all kinds ,with all kinds of character. But getting in another series and portraying another fantasy character isn't one of them.....anytime soon.... I hope.Avatar ImageLou_Lovegood says: I think James McAvoy would make a great Bilbo.Avatar ImageMikaMaxwell says: Ha ha, I find it amusing that even a movie with just one wizard (Gandalf) would turn him off XDAvatar Imagecghambright says: Dan's already proved he can play other roles with his work in Equus, Decemeber Boys, and My Boy Jack. So I'm sure he's anxious to stretch his acting legs even more when HP ends. The Hobbit is completely different from HP, but it's also the same genre. Avatar Imagehrslvr529 says: Funny, James McAvoy was considered for Biblo Baggins a long time ago.Avatar ImageFresca says: I think Dan wants to play some serious roles, but he would make a good hobbit!Avatar ImageRavenclaw98 says: Haha thats funny James would make a good hobbit.Avatar Imagehermyone08 says: i don't blame him for not wanting to be typecastAvatar ImageAlbus Marcos Dumbledore says: i think they both would do good in the moveAvatar ImageHGROSS44 says: I am glad Dan is looking forward to doing something out side the box. He will do well in anything he takes on.Avatar Imagefantasylover12001 says: Good. Much as I love Dan, I can't see him in the Hobbit and that would give people the excuse to typecast him mercilessly even if he does do other roles.Avatar Imageyr.yasindu says: funny.Avatar ImageBritski says: That would be funny if Dan became a hobbit, but I have to agree, James McAvoy would be perfect! Avatar Imagewandmastercalum says: Hobbits need to be slightly chubby too.Avatar ImageHeartbreakDX says: Well I can totally see that because Dan doesn't want to remain typecast to only that type of movie! As an aspiring actress, I know that it is every actor's nightmare (almost every actor's nightmare) to be typecast in one type of genre or defined for the rest of your career by one specific role. With movies like 'Potter' you run the risk of being forever known as 'That Potter Kid', which may be one reason he jumped at the chance to do Equis and other things. A perfect example is Mark Hamill, best known for his portrayal of Luke Skywalker in Star Wars! After Star Wars he was too well known as Luke that he hasn't really done anything else big and has taken to doing tons of voice acting (he's been in at least 2 Scooby Doo movies and a handful of cartoon TV shows). I'm glad the Dan wants to avoid the same type of label.Avatar ImageShalanarah says: HAHAHAHA this news made me laugh. And James McAvoy!?? He's my favorite actor i love him! would want to see him play tho. he would be cute as a hobbit!Avatar Imagelevi-OH-sa not levio-SA says: lol, dan...seriously tho, that would be tacky. he's smart to step away from the fantasy stuff Avatar Imagevicky granger says: Hahahahah Sue, nice title ^^ And yeah, I can see how Dan doesn't want to be any kind of wizarding creature anymore =PAvatar ImageLivelaughlovepotter says: Lol, when I saw the title, I was like, what? I've never heard of The Hobbit.. anyway, I think I'm glad he's not playing a wizard. After all, isn't 10+ years enough for one person?Avatar ImageBroomsnitch says: I can't wait to see more of Dan outside of the wizarding world. December Boys was amazing and seeing him in a romantic comedy or thriller would be just wonderful.Avatar ImageTheknittingnerd says: It's rather amusing, seeing as he's (apparently) constantly confused with Elijah Wood...Avatar ImageNuttyAsSP says: I could see Dan as Frodo, but not Bilbo. Good choice though, got to break the cast.Avatar Imageophelia1141 says: Good for Dan. However, as much as I love James McAvoy, he's a bit young. Bilbo is 50 in the Hobbit. Then again, Frodo was 50-something in LOTR but the movie role was played to perfection by an 18 year old, so who knows?Avatar Imagesairah says: lol I dont think I would want Dan to be a Hobbit either. I cant wait for the Hobbit movie! Avatar ImageSreyashi says: To me ,Hobbit or no Hobbit,Danny would always be the one who played Harry Potter down to the last detail!
