Fans in Australia will be able to watch all the Harry Potter films on the big screen again as part of the build up to the release of Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince. Longtime TLC reader Donna let us know that starting June 11, Hoyts movie theaters will be screening Harry Potter and the Sorcerer's Stone. This will be followed with re-releases of Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets on June 18, Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban on June 25, Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire starts July 2, with Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix due to screen July 9th. Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince will then open in Australia on July 15.
Thanks Donna!

this sucks….i don’t want this stupid marathon…i want the move on the same date as everyone else!!!
WHY DO THEY HATE AUSSIES! We’ve been later than everyone else for every realease date of hbp!!!
that’s a really good idea. if that doesn’t happen here in the States, then i guess i will have to copy the idea and have a movie marathon of my own. Kudos to whoever thought of re-releasing them in theaters. :)

Wonderful!!!! I can’t wait to go and see them all. I only watched Goblet of Fire and Order of Phoenix at the movies, it would so much fun to bring my friends and show them how much Harry Potter is famous around Australia, and its not just me!! lol!!! I am so glad Australia is doing something, as the USA have the exhibition and London have the premiere and so do other countries. Hope to see everyone there!
Those living in Australia really do get the crappy end of the stick when it comes to films. Originally we were having to wait a month for HBP after the US and UK releases, so this is fun news my kids are all looking forward to taking advantage of. Obviously I will have to be dragged kicking and screaming to every single showing :P!
Stock up on the Pods, Hoyts!
yay i love it when they do this
