I See Sea Shells on Shell Cottage (Updated)
April 28, 2009, 05:46 PM
As a follow now to the first photos TLC first brought you several days ago of Shell Cottage currently under construction for use in Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows, two new photos are now online. The public group for the Pembroke area of Wales on Flickr now has two new photos of the ongoing work, including one of a nearly completed roof of the cottage, made entirely of sea shells, here. UPDATE: Thanks to Chris and Pete for mailing in some wonderful new photos, taken yesterday at the location in Wales, which you can see here in our galleries.
Reminder: Location filming for Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows will take place on Freshwater Beach in Pembrokeshire National Park area of Wales May 11 through the 15th. TLC hopes to have a crew there to cover all the filming, however if you are in the area, please send in your reports, photos, and videos to email@example.com.
Thanks much to Flickr group Pembrokeshire and user tomix!
You got to admit, them thar Wizards know how to live. I could see myself quite happy there with a pretty little lass>:)
That’s exactly how I pictured it!
It is just wonderful that they have put so much effort into creating a fantastic and unique “Shell” Cottage! I must commend the design crew for the ingenuity.
Wow! So cool! This is GREAT to see!
That’s so fantastic looking. I’m so happy they are putting this much effort into little details that, with most projects, would have been forgotten.
Wow, this is super exciting, and I’m sure it will be beautiful. :)
Sooo awesome! Will it be up for sale when they are finished filming? How awesome would it be to live there?! Bah, so cute
i like the roof.i understand y the call it SHELL cottage now. just understood!
Hah, it’s funny, but I never imagined it to have any shells at all! But it’s great to know they’re actually building it, when they could do it all in CG. We still don’t know if it’s going to be Bill and Fleur, do we?
Shell Cottage looks amazing!
That is cool making the roof out of shells.
That actually looks pretty neat, but I would like to say that many production crews DO put the time and effort into sets that really won’t be seen. The LOTR crew is probably the king of that, so it’s not as if the HP crew is doing something totally unique here. It’s good, however, that they’re putting the details in.
Interesting concept! I love the design and the windows! :)
I’m glad that they’re working so hard on DH. We want a big BANG for the end of our movies :].
The roof isn’t EXACTLY how I imagined it but I’m happy with it. I picture shells woven with vines onto a dark wooden roof. But, I like this one too!
