Two bits of casting news today for Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows. First Hollywood Reporter has an article online stating longtime Scottish character actor David O'Hara (Braveheart, Hotel Rwanda, Tristan & Isolde) will be taking on the part of Albert Runcorn. As the paper reminds us Albert Runcorn is the "Ministry of Magic employee who gets impersonated by Potter to get into the Ministry."

Finally a minor bit of news courtesy MN who reports the part of Kreacher will be now be voiced by actor Simon Mcburney, apparently replacing Tim Bateson who voiced the character in OotP.

Production continues in London, England for Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows, with Part One due in theaters Thanksgiving Weekend, November 2010.

It seems that they are going to do this movie right. i just hope there’s enough emotion to come with it.

OoO he’s very good… and it will be an interesting part. not only establishing a character but also playing harry playing the character… interesting… and he gets to work with Mark Williams if they keep that scene in…which they should.

David O’Hara was also in the Oscar winning The Departed
and played Bill Sikes…such a mean character…. in the last Oliver Twist tv film……good actor!!!

OK so I am very happy about the movie coming out in Nov 2010 but I always go to my grandparents house for thanksgiving so I’m going to be there and the whole side of my moms family are a bunch of Harry Potter haters so i wont be able to see it wqhen it first opens. :(
But of course the date might change, we all know how WB works.

So now I’m already excited for this movie … lol. The Ministry scenes should be awesome :)
It’s too bad they didnt get the same actor for the role of Kreacher … I wonder why ?

Has there been anything official yet on John Hurt, Clémence Poésy, or even Stanislav Ianevski? Or Natalia Tena and Imelda Staunton? There are several crucial gaps in the overall story line that cannot be resolved (as far as I can see) without them….

For that matter, what about William Melling? I’ve grown fond of Nigel….

Cool, I’m glad they’re keeping Runcorn in. I can’t wait to see the Minestry sceens. Hopefully they’ll be as good as in the books.

For some reason, I always pictured Albert to be a black man. I don’t know why…? Haha. But still – I’m happy that he’s in! =)

Guess That Book

"I do feel so sorry," said Draco Malfoy, one Potions class, "for all those people who have to stay at Hogwarts for Christmas because they're not wanted at home."[br]He was looking over at Harry as he spoke. Crabbe and Goyle chuckled.
