Woah, these look great. But then again, I’ve always been a big fan of the art direction of the movies. It’s the script that usually makes me go "Arrrrrrrgggghhhh."
The electrical cord is appropriate. He lives in a run down Muggle house. But I mean really, Snape, the spell is "reparo", that one broken drawer would bug the heck out of me.
And i was wondering about poor waiter Neville as well. What bet did he lose?
Great pics! I don’t find the electric lamp odd. Spinner’s End is where he grew up. The house is in a Muggle neighborhood and his father was a Muggle so it’s normal that the house has electricity. Probably a hint for those who haven’t read the books.
Oh my god, so many fantastic pictures! I promised myself I wouldn’t look at any more HBP stuff but I just couldn’t resist!
Ok…one thing at a time….
The bridge…wow, it looks like that is going to be a really great scene. Complete and utter destruction for the poor, unsuspecting Muggles! I know a lot of people (myself included) have had some doubts about this added scene, but it looks like it’ll be well worth it, and a great way of showing how Voldemort is effecting the Muggles too.
Lavender at the Gryffindor table…I love all the little details here, one being that Lavender herself is wearing Gryffindor socks! I think she looks perfect and I’m really looking forward to seeing her on screen. I love the look on Hermione’s face…a sort of "Oh Merlin, not her again!" kind of look. Also…Parvati…wow she has grown up well, she’s is beautiful!
The Slug Club pictures…I love the one of Hermione and Neville, it’s really sweet. I think Neville looks like he’s asking Hermione which spoon he’s supposed to be using. Though I am wondering why Neville is a waiter at the Christmas party? He was a member of the Slug Club so shouldn’t he be there as a guest?
Weasley’s Wizard Wheezes…All I can say is WOW. The exterior looks amazing. I love the added touch that the big statue of the man with the rabbit on his head and a top hat (which I assume moves so the hat reveals the rabbit) looks like Fred and George! I am kinda sad that the twins aren’t wearing their bright green dragon-hide suits, but they still look fab. I love that there is SO much going on in these scenes. it;s just how WWW should be, so busy all the time that it’s like absolute mayhem. It’s great to see things we recognise too (edible dark marks, anyone?). Harry looks absolutely tiny beside the twins! I like the shot of Nigel walking up the wall too. I assume those funky shoes he has on are another Weasley invention.
Luna and co…By far one of my favourite things is the picture on the train of Luna, Ginny and Dean. Ginny has Arnold the pygmy puff on her shoulder! I love that! Luna’s hat looks awesome as ever, though she looks quite sad in that picture in the great hall…I wonder why?
Ron and Lavender…The picture of the two of them together is great, it shows their relationship perfectly. Lavender is grinning like a mad woman- obviously very happy- and clinging onto Ron’s arm as though she’ll never let go, while Ron Looks happy enough but not as though his heart is in it, and his arm is just hanging limp, he’’s making no effort to hold onto her. This sums them up perfectly. She looks almost desperate in the picture on the train where she’s written "R + L xxx" on the window but this picture confuses me. They aren’t together so early that this could be from the train on the way to school…I guess it could be from the train ride home for the Christmas holidays.
Quidditch…I really like the picture of the three girls in the Quidditch stands. The look on Lavender’s face suggests that something might be going on with Ron, she looks really worried. And I like the contrast of her being in the foreground and Hermione sat further back, on her own. Poor Hermione :-( Cormac looks suitably smug, though I must say his broomstick looks HUGE! I hope we get to see Hermione confund him!
OMG am so happy with how Spinner’s End looks. As for the electrical cord it’s just as I pictured. Old electrical appliances inside the home, I remember them saying that the neighborhood was a run down muggle place and no wizards would dare live there. So it fits the description. The thread bare sofa is a chair but still awesome. Oh and can’t say enough of how awesome and magical Weasley Wizard Wheezes is.
"Was it -- was [Trelawney] making a real prediction?"[br]Dumbledore looked mildly impressed.[br]"Do you know, Harry, I think she might have been," he said thoughtfully. "Who'd have thought it? That brings her total of real predictions up to two. I should
Holy crap, HOLY CRAP!
