We have several updates today regarding the upcoming Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows. First, thanks to the National Media Museum and TLC reader James we know of a brand new video interview with actor Matt Lewis, (Update: now available here in our galleries) who addresses his role as Neville Longbottom in the Harry Potter films. Matt also reflects on filming for Deathly Hallows, as well as weighing in on Half-Blood Prince, IMAX and much more.

Thanks much to Amanda and the crew at ThewlisRox.net who are reporting that filming for the wedding of Bill & Fleur in Deathly Hallows will take place on August 10th. This information comes from staff at the Harry Potter exhibit in Chicago, who told the fans a costume worn by actor David Thewlis in his role as Remus Lupin was needed back in England on this date to be worn for the scene in Deathly Hallows. In addition,TLC can report that filming for this scene will take place over several days in August, with Domhnall Gleeson (Bill), Clemence Posey (Fleur) Natalia Tena (Tonks), David Thewlis (Remus), Matyelock Gibbs(Muriel), James and Oliver Phelps (Gred & Forge) Mark Williams (Arthur) Julie Walters (Molly), Stanislav Ianevski (Viktor Krum) and David Ryall (Doge) due on set as well as the Trio (Dan Radcliffe, Emma Watson and Rupert Grint as Harry, Hermione and Ron) who will be on hand (along with others such as Bonnie Wright as Ginny and Evanna Lynch as Luna, and possibly Rhys Ifans as Xeno although several of his scenes have already been filmed) for what is shaping up to be a fabulous wedding sequence, extra waiters, musicians, dancing and even Veelas to boot! Readers will recall of course, we saw the filming of the Trio in flight from the wedding last April on location in London, with those pics of their costumes from the wedding here. Finally, stay tuned as more Seven Potters filming is due within the next few days and weeks as well. Phew!

Avatar ImageHarryRichardsPotter says: first! wow, this is very exciting news! can't wait to see sneaky pictures ;)Avatar ImageHarryRichardsPotter says: they best explain WHY there has been a lack of both Bill and Fleur. And describe why they getting married. BEST FILM YET ANYBODY? i smell an oscar for Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows, mmm yesAvatar Imagehermyone08 says: Yay, they're filming the wedding scene! So exciting! :)Avatar Imageiamasquash says: It's gonna be a bit weird, isn't it? I mean, Bill hasn't been in any of the movies thus far, or even mentioned a bunch like Charlie. And all of a sudden, he's getting married and everyone's invited.Avatar Imagemariapotter says: Oh wow, I was at the exhibit in Chicago this week - very cool they actually had to take one of the costumes back haha. Avatar ImageMatea says: can't wait! I'm reading DH again. 8 times :)Avatar ImageT-Vey says: Sure, some people may be confused by the very late introduction to Bill and may have even forgotten about Fleur, (actually I really would have preferred a Lupin/Tonks wedding and have them move to Shell Cottage, as they are characters we have got to know previously, and would make Teddy Lupin more significant imo) but I really have confidence they can pull the wedding off perfectly. After all, there really doesn't have to be any explaining why they are getting married, or who they are, for that matter- for as we know, it is the events at the wedding, and NOT the wedding itself that is significant. Also, it would be nice if they could include Bill being attacked by Fenrir after Kingsey's patronus appears, or some other time throughout the film, since we didn't see Bill in HBP (not to mention the movie audience doesn't even know that Fenrir's a werewolf!!!!!)Avatar ImageT-Vey says: and Matt Lewis always gives great interviews! It will be a great moment when he climbes out of the tunnel in the Hog's Head all bloodied and bruised! LOL at Neville talking all casually about getting tortured!Avatar Imageclabwag says: Fun, fun - more filming! I may just be unobservant, but this is the first time I've seen Clemence Poesy mentioned in conjunction to Deathly Hallows so it's good to see she is returning... Anyway, on the subject of Bill/Fleur, it won't be particularly hard to introduce really: Bill walks into 4 Privet Drive kitchen, Harry asks who he is, he says he is Bill, Ron's brother, Harry says Ron had mentioned them, everyone else comes in, Fleur hugs Harry, Harry asks what she's doing here, she explains she's getting married to Bill - etc. Film audiences probably don't really care if it makes sense... Avatar ImageT-Vey says: ok one more thing: I DID hear in an interview with David Heyman that the wedding will be at the Burrow. All I can say is that it better NOT be perfectly built back together. Or have a stupid line like, "we used Reparo, and now the house is fixed!" I mean this in the nicest was possible, but I'd really like to see some damage on the house, or that scene will have been a complete waste! Avatar ImageHP_Flower says: There's going to be a lot of actors/characters there! It's so nice to have a lot of people back!Avatar ImageRHrSoulmates says: In before "But the Burrow burned down! What are those wizards and witches going to do?!" The 'guest' list sounds canon-compliant to me. I wonder if cousin Barney will show up? I have a feeling they may just drop that. I still don't get the whole, "Bill has never been introduced" fear. In a standalone movie when the main characters show up at some tertiary characters' wedding because something more important needs to happen in this scene, do moviegoers lament about not getting a special news alert from the studio telling them, in advance, who these random characters are, how they met, how long they dated and when they got engaged? No. You just accept the wedding for what it is. Sheesh.Avatar ImageLexitheAuror says: Well, they showed Dumbledore fixing the house that Slughorn was at pretty quickly in the beginning of HBP. I bet film audiences will just think the Weasleys did the same thing at their house, even though Slughorn just did damage to the inside of the that muggle house.Avatar Imagegryffindor1991 says: its going to be so cool. I cant wait to see the Wedding. its gonna look awesome.Avatar Imageplacebowiz says: weirdAvatar ImageDiamondWings says: oh! so great! it will be great!Avatar ImageJadeDanielle says: I can't wait to see the wedding... :}Avatar Imagedeadtree says: the wedding is something I'm looking forward to especially. Can't wait! Avatar Imageccking says: i wish bill had been in the movies more because now just based off the movies, he's being introduced ion this movie as much as he's in it...lolAvatar Imagegoodegogo says: very exciting! Hope since they're splitting the movie in to 2 that will be alot like the book!Avatar Imagebudgie says: Getting back to the books!Avatar ImageAmy Darlene says: they set the date for the wedding!! Excellent last moment of peace0 the fangirl in me can't wait to see Hermione and Ron dance and Krum get disapointed... actually shouldn't the Burrow look even better considering they spent Several weeks fixing the place up for the wedding... they could perhaps make it look straighter... and i hope they have the tent... OoOo... and a couple of garden gnomes eating wedding cake.. that would be fantastic!!!! what would be great is for the Weasleys to do a de-gnoming... and for them to chuck them over the fence...and for Hermione to come up and say "that is totally barbaric"... fun reference to movie 1...and good introduction to her feeling sympathy to all creatures. taking care of S.P.E.W. which I think should have been in the films all along... at least a scene with Hermione knitting and just randomly leaving a finsihed piece on the couch Avatar Imagemoglet says: I don't know why people are getting so cross about the Burrow, we did not actually see it burnt to the ground did we? They were all rather in shock as they looked at it, but I think you could imagine them getting together and putting it out, remember the spell Aguamenti? And in the film there is a lot of water around the area too. It happened at Christmas in the film, so they do have time to fix it you know! The house next door to me had a serious fire, it didn't burn to the ground but was quite damaged, and they still managed to fix that up alright, I'm guessing it would be easier with magic! I can assure you they are having the marquee, don't worry!Avatar Imageegdillon28 says: wow, it is getting exciting now. Things are really happening!!!Avatar Imagewandmastercalum says: Damn I don't have time to watch it.Avatar Imagex_Potter_Lover_Forever_x says: YAY!!! I CANNOT WAIT. AUGUST 10th HERE WE COME!!Avatar Imageshellybasson says: Cool!!Avatar Imageemmabonkers says: I can't wait too see the wedding,we haven't seen fleur since goblet of fire so it will be good to see what she looks like and to see Bill for the first time will be exciting. Also Matt looks very grown up with that interview.wow!Avatar ImageGraymayne says: Excellent interview by Matt, another level-headed long-term member of the cast. It is rather a pity that they didn't slip in a reference to Bill's up-coming wedding at the end of HBP.Avatar Imagebudb says: Sue, and the Leaky staff, I know its a time consuming imposition, BUT...can we please have transcribed key portions of interviews please? Some of us live in odd little corners of the US where all we can have is dial up....downloading videos just is not practical. (seriously! And given my work with technology and education, believe me this is a royal pain in Merlin's Y-fronts!) thanks! budbAvatar ImageDanielBonnie28 says: YAY!!! it's going to be brilliant!!Avatar Imagecghambright says: I hope we get some pictures of it! The wedding is going to be soo BEAUTIFUL!! The set designers on the Potter films always do such an amazing job! Avatar Imageimpoohnfrenz says: I cant WAIT!! This is SUPER exciting!! At least that didnt get cut out of the movie!Avatar ImageDilltheMuggle says: I can not wait for this movie. Every set update makes me even more excited. It/s gonna be legen..........wait for it................................................................................dary.Avatar ImageMoose_Starr says: The wedding scene gets more exciting with every news story. I'm still puzzled about where it's actually going to take place though. But, from everything we've been told so far, it sounds like it's going to be really amazing :) The pics and reports from the Seven Potters scenes are also really cool so I'm excited for more filming and thus more pics. I cant believe the movie is only just a little over a year away now... well, Part 1 anyhows.Avatar Imagesmgkkg says: this is so cool! can't wait to see the seven potters. the wedding sounds great!Avatar ImageWON_TWO says: I doubt that the burrow could be magicked back together...Avatar ImageTriple_S says: I can't wait to see how they do the wedding scene esp since the Burrow had issues* in HBPAvatar Imagemarauder. says: so excited. haha loved the remark (Gred & Forge). <3Avatar Imageweasleymyking says: AHH! Matt is SO cool. It was a great video. The only thing I'm curious about is the mention at the end that DH7 would be out at Christmas 2010 and not November. Did they move the date or could he be off by a few weeks?Avatar ImageRHrSoulmates says: I finally had time to watch the video. Matt is SO cool. It was a great video. I was so worried they would since they added the burning of the Burrow to the 6th film. I can't wait to finally see Bill though... I've always loved him in the books, and its great that now everyone else who doesn't know him, gets to finally meet him! :)Avatar ImageHermione Elizabeth says: Well I'm glad that they didn't cut the wedding... Avatar Imagedoublecore says: What a great interview with Matt Lewis, i thiught it was very good. I can't wait for the battle seen and when he takes care of businees i am going to cheer loud as i can.***I think there may be gnargles in the web site. Anyone else havig issues?Avatar ImageTamyris says: Great news! So Clemence is back after all! I´ve been worried about that. I love the wedding sequence!Avatar Imagephoenixes are in ravenclaw says: You know what, even if it is in the book and we want to see everything from DH in the movie, I really wouldn't mind them getting rid of Cousin Barney. Then Ginny and Harry would be together still... Maybe... Avatar ImageLoSushi says: Neville looks so grown up!! cant wait for DH movies!!Avatar Imagemadman1277 says: sounds great, can't wait for more newsAvatar Imagejediofthelost says: can't wait the movie to come out. also i am reading just the book for the 8th time.Avatar ImageHRWGHP says: As far as the movie season goes, late Nov is the Xmas timeframeAvatar ImageHRWGHP says: As far as the movie season goes, late Nov is the Xmas timeframeAvatar ImageHRWGHP says: As far as the movie season goes, late Nov is the Xmas timeframeAvatar ImageHRWGHP says: As far as the movie season goes, late Nov is the Xmas timeframeAvatar ImageSteph says: I'm so excited for the wedding scene, here's to hoping it isn't cut down to bits and pieces. :)Avatar ImageT-Vey says: @ Aurora Duv Actually, Bill does have the scars at Shell Cottage :) Take a look!- http:// harrypotter.wikia.com/ wiki/William_Weasley The question is.... How?? Was it from Greyback???Avatar ImagePhylis says: One of my questions after seeing HBP was where is the wedding now that the Burrow was burned down. Will have to wait and see.Avatar ImageR-for-H says: Wow! This has made me so excited for this in the movie!! Can't sao it shall be amazing!!Avatar ImageBrosia23 says: I was angry before about there not being any explination about Bill and Fleur meeting, about them being deleted from the HBP movie, and about the Burrow being destroyed hurting the future scenes needed at the location. But, as I have since found out that the director ran the distruction of the Burrow past Jo and she was fine with it (in my opinion, making the scene canon now), then it will be alright. I am getting excited about this now. I have seen the cast list and I think that everyone that needs to be there to tell the story faithfully has been cast. I now wonder where they are going to split the movies. There are a few places that it would be good. I read an interview with the producer that stated that the second movie have a couple of scenes before they get to the school for the first half of the fight. That, to me, indicates, that they might be ending the first half after poor Dobby...I can't even say it.Avatar ImageWingardium Leviosa says: I can't wait to see the wedding!Avatar Image11magicmel11 says: Omg I am so excited.
