There are now only 61 days left until “Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows: Part I” hits theaters! We are posting a quote from the first half of the book every day in celebration and to give us a chance to discuss and ponder the final book as it goes to film. Here is today’s quote!

“Why did half of us never even know she existed, until they carried the coffin out of the house and held a funeral for her? Where was saintly Albus while Ariana was locked in the cellar? Off being brilliant at Hogwarts, and never mind what was going on in his own house!”

- Auntie Muriel

Avatar Imageazaadpotter says: oh 61 more days. i m dying. i cant wait anymore. atleast there is a trailer coming upAvatar ImageYodatheHobbit says: So I was just at harrypotter.com and looked at the credits for Deathly Hallows. I noticed JK Rowling has a producer credit! Unless I'm mistaken, I don't think she's ever been credited as a producer before! I assume it means she was more involved with production.Avatar ImageSusmita singh says: Yeah, only 61 days. But can't wait. Excited!!Avatar Imagedaldula says: well in my country we'll have to wait for at least one more week before the movie hits theaters so this count down is not really precise for us :(Avatar ImageTheGleek77 says: ah I cant wait any longer! I love Auntie Muriel she's such a bagAvatar ImageJK.jr. says: If JK rowling really is helping with the producing of this movie, it is going to be the best out HP movie!!!Avatar ImageNot Slytherin says: This quote was so infuriating! Of course, I didn't believe Muriel, and I was frustrated that Harry became so fixated on her version of DD's story. I felt really bad for Doge in this scene, too. Then to find out later what really happened to Ariana -- that there was some grain of truth in all of the bad things said about DD -- the whole thing was just tragic.Avatar ImageSohumdore says: Ariana..... It's terrible what happened!!!! And I have a feeling that these 2 movies are going to be the best because its all the actors and actresess' last chance on the HP stage.Avatar Imageginny_weasley1998 says: oh that Muriel ......i wish i REALLY knew what happened to her ........... 61 DAYS !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! AAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHHHH over the top excitementAvatar ImageSmitch says: Thank goodness for the trailer! I'm getting to excited for this...Avatar ImageBless_the_children says: I hope we get to see a flashback to Dumbledore's family when he or Aberforth are recounting how Ariana died. This subplot in DH really shattered my old perceptions of Dumbledore, but in the end it made him a much deeper and more complicated character. I hope they do justice to the importance of Ariana and her death in the movie. So excited!Avatar ImageGryffindor_Girl_xx says: Muriel is so annoying ... x)Avatar Imageslayerbaby76 says: Wonder if they will go into the Aunt Muriel story at all in the movie...hmmm...somehow I'm not too confident they will go that far in the movie. Seems they always cut out stuff like that, then add stuff that just never happens (getting chased by snatchers, the Burrow being set on fire, etc.).Avatar Imageginnyshiel says: This shows that we have to know all facts before we judge and don't have prejudices. Not anything is clear on the first view...Avatar ImageLost Northern says: muhahaha so funny auntie muriel. well 19 nov 59 days no longer before the movie hit the theaters i'm so excited to see the scene with hermione house XDAvatar Imagekiwimci says: J.K. Rowling is listed as one of the producers? That's amazing!Avatar Imagesidnandragin says: I absolutely love Auntie Muriel. She had plenty to say about many at the wedding and especially about Ginny. Loved her. She made me laugh. Avatar Image2tal says: The shadows of the past continue to be cast in the present; isn't that ones conscience at work?Avatar ImageL. Ravenclaw says: Love every day to wake up and reed the todays quote :DAvatar ImageMJBDE15 says: where's a time turner when you need it.....Avatar Imageharrypotter1991 says: Aunt Muriel is cast in the movie for part 1, so they are going to have at least a few lines from her during the wedding scene.Avatar Imageflinthutch says: This quote was so infuriating! Of course, I didn’t believe Muriel, and I was frustrated that Harry became so fixated on her version of DD’s story. I felt really bad for Doge in this scene, too. Then to find out later what really happened to Ariana — that there was some grain of truth in all of the bad things said about DD — the whole thing was just tragic. Agreed. There where some nightbus size holes in Rowling last book, but she kept it tight with the Ariana story; cuminating to Abeforth's picture of her true purpose. GeniusAvatar Imageksddancer says: I can't believe we are this close! Intersting quote today. I just read it so this is funny!Avatar Imagehp931 says: I hate Muriel! She's such a hag! But I love this quete, none the less! Muriel better be in the wedding sceane!Avatar Imagez999993 says: I wish Muriel would keep some things to herself, but if she didn't say anything we wouldn't have known much about Ariana. Only 61 days left! :DAvatar ImageGiant Squid says: Stupid Muriel!Avatar ImageElphabaROCKS1 says: So close! Can't wait!!!!Avatar Imagetaoist1 says: Poor Ariana : (Avatar Imagemystiqueminx says: that old hag... this part really made me angryAvatar Imagevoldemort07 says: i just began re reading DH yesterday night and that part still makes me mad. I'm not sure they will include it in the movie though.Avatar ImageSlyBones says: Another Auntie Muriel quote. I'm thinking someone at Leaky most really like her or love to hate her. LOL I still love her though. She's hilarious. And in all fairness, she was merely stating what she believed to be true. Its not like anyone really knew. Although the Dumbledore's were entitled to their privacy considering what happened to poor Arianna. Avatar Imagehufflepuff62 says: YAYYY!!!! can't wait.Avatar Imageblackhair says: she was really a mean.Avatar ImageNumeroUnoFan says: oooooooooo secret secretAvatar Imageeccentricalice says: This was such a sad story. So calmly and sensitively told by Auntie Muriel, with the whole truth adhered to...Avatar Imagevicki_the_house_elf says: I think Ariana's story (and Dumbledore's childhood) is so desperately sad. I really hope we get to hear all of it in the film, even though Dumbledore is not phsically there to guide Harry, he's still a constant presence throughout the hole book. Avatar Imagevicki_the_house_elf says: Though i'm still very curious to find out what exactly Aberforth did to that poor goat! :DAvatar Imagediv says: i din believe muriel at first.. but later it was a bitter truth kinda.. poor ariana..Avatar ImageLonewolf_ says: Haha, Muriel :)Avatar Imageharrypotterfreak101 says: I hated finding about Dumbledore's past. I mean this is the Dumbledore, that is loved and cherished by so many poeple. But there's only 2 more months till the Deathly Hallows releases!Avatar ImageClaire Lafleur says: I think they will probably have her as a background character or someone resemballing her, we might have to see the movie a couple times to notice it though
