Am I the only one who thinks that almost all of these posters seem really generic. I feel like the marketing department is just assuming that because it’s Harry Potter they don’t need to try.

The marketing side is always taking a baseball bat to crack an egg! Apparently folks aren’t considered able to understand nuance any more. It is a bit lame and sad. I am still hoping that the last two films will be true to the text even though that hasn’t been my experience to date! Well, maybe on Prisoner of Azkaban … that is my favorite film so far, the one that seemed to best fit to the tale told.

It’s a pity we didn’t get to see more of Dobby in the previous films.

i actually like this particular marketing campaign. the other character posters – i think they had some “on the run” type slogan – were pretty much the same as the previous two movies’ posters, but these ones are different, simplistic. they show that the last two movies are not about magic, they’re about character. if you ask me, they all should have been about that, but i’m just thankful they’re getting it right this time.
