Haaaaaaappy Birthday!!!
Happy Birthday Bill!
happy birthday!
he was so good in this. (in the, like, 3 minutes he was onscreen)
happy birthday!!!!!
Happy Birthday Mr. Nighy!!!!
Loved you in “Underworld”
Happy Birthday! You weren’t exactly the Scrimgeour I imagined in the books, but I loved your portrayal just as much as that Scrimgeour, if not more!
Does anyone know how you pronounce “Nighy”?
Happy BirthDay!!
My favorite-ever Bill Nighy role was audio only: playing Samwise in the BBC Radio dramatization of ‘Lord of the Rings.’ I liked him way better than Sean Astin in the part – and he can even sing!
The name’s pronounced more or less like ‘Nigh’. (Wonder if it’s Irish?) I agree with WeenyOwl: he is the definitive Sam Gamgee. When I was considerably younger he used to be in all sorts of things on BBC Radio 4 – I remember him as a very touching St. Francis of Assissi! Most of these seem to be forgotten, but you can still get LotR on CD, and I listen to it quite often. Bill Nighy plays the drunken actor Charles Paris who does the sleuthing in Simon Brett’s comedy whodunnits. One of these, ‘Murder in the Title’, is currently being broadcast on Radio 4 on Monday mornings.
PS I also agree about the singing. Film makers have taken advantage of this e.g. by casting him as an ageing rock star in ‘Love Actually’.
yeah! He is so good! Happy Bday!!
happy birthday:))
Well Wishes to Bill Nighy for a Happy Birthday! He is fabulous, even moreso for having a December birthday :-)
I adore him in Pirate Radio/ The Boat that Rocked, in Doctor Who, and in The Girl in the Café in which he co-stars with Kelly MacDonald.
Happy Birthday Bill Nighy!!!
