Variety is reporting that ABC Family will air “Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince” in late 2011. Ken Werner of Warner Bros. is quoted in the article, saying, “[feature] films are an integral part of the formula for a successful cable service, and ABC Family has created a terrific destination where Warner Bros. movies have thrived.” ABC Family holds the rights to the first six Harry Potter films, as well as to a number of newer films, including “The Blind Side” and “Alice in Wonderland,” which will be aired in 2012. “Alice in Wonderland” stars a number of Harry Potter actors including Helena Bonham Carter (Bellatrix Lestrange), Alan Rickman (Severus Snape) and the narrator of the British Harry Potter audiobooks, Stephen Fry.

However, I do not believe that the movie was the best one yet and having to wait 7 months is a drag.Avatar Imageleigia says: At least we have something to look forward to watching in 2011.Avatar ImageHermione Elizabeth says: That's nice.. everytime the HP movies are on TV I always watch them and realize that I haven't seen them in a while, so it's nice. :)Avatar Imagenine9isfine says: oh gosh has the news really been this slow that something like this is put up? They always add special things to the showings on TV so I wish they would show it sooner, but I guess it isn't to be.Avatar Imagealicia00 says: wow cool Avatar ImageGiant Squid says: That will be cool!Avatar Imagewandmastercalum says: I've got the dvds so I don't need to bother with all that!Avatar Imagemaimiaa says: that's so cool! :DAvatar Imagethundermountain7 says: Wow that big I can't wait not just for HBP but also for the other movies. Avatar Imagenwrosey says: boring......Avatar ImageAnna Weasley says: So when is HBO going to show Harry Potter HBPAvatar ImageMadam Snape says: That's great! I wonder when the networks will be exibititng Half Blood Pince here in Brazil...Avatar Imageclever-ravenclaw says: yay i love it when they play the deleted scenes to but i missed harry potter and the order of the phoenix i hope they play that to so that i can record it!Avatar Imageharrypotter1991 says: Great, but late 2011 is still a very long time away though. We'd be able to see both parts of Deathly Hallows by then! I'd definitely still watch it on TV!Avatar ImageSmitch says: Oh really? Cool! I have all the movies, but it's just so exciting when they put them on TV. It's like a confirmation that the rest of the world cares about our obsession! Haha. Avatar ImageSigmaKnight says: The Marketing, Scheduling, Advertising, Advising, and pretty every team at ABC needs to be fired for waiting soooo long to put a movie on TV that would be over 2 years since it's release. It's one thing if it's a crappy movie like The Tooth Fairy (with Dwayne Johnson), but this is Harry Potter, the most successful franchise ever- people WANT to see this as much as possible. Avatar ImageBroomsnitch says: Late 2011 is TOOOO LONG! I guess I'm not surprised though, since they just played Order of the Phoenix for the first time a few months ago.Avatar ImageSmitch says: Yay! Omg Imagine a HP marathon on ABC? I bet they'll do it someday. Have they already and I'm just in the dark? Lol.
