Rhys Ifans: "Real Honor" to be in "Deathly Hallows"

MTV has released a clip from a press junket interview with actor Rhys Ifans, who is set to portray the character of Xeno Lovegood in the "Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows" film, which features the actor discussing further his role in the upcoming film. Starting by relating the "great" experience he had making the film, Mr. Ifans expanded on this by saying:
"When you're an English actor and you get the 'Harry Potter' call-- it's like Batman, you know? You have a phone, you have a normal phone, and then you have one that is made out of wood. That's the 'Potter' people. They call you up [and] you get your wand out, you put your cloak on and off you go. It's a real honor. It's like getting knighted or something."
The interview continues with the actor discussing the vastness of the Harry Potter world, as well as the "pleasantly surreal" nature of working alongside actors from previous years when struggling in the business. Quoteage:
"You just sit with all these actors you've starved with in the theater... sitting there dressed as wizards [and] having wand-offs. So it's very pleasantly surreal."

I love the fact that he just smiles with obvious enjoyment when talking about being in a Harry Potter film, you can see that it is a genuine emotion, I look forward to seeing him as Xenophilius, and very glad that we will see him in the first film, so it’s only 8 months away…lol

The trio go to Xenophilius Lovegood’s house and then are chased by snatchers from the house and captured and taken to Malfoy Manor and escape and go to shell cottage and bury Dobby and talk to the wandmaker and to Griphook all on one very long day, but still the same day and night.
This is a difference from the book, but there will be no time cut in between the Lovegood scene and the capture chase scene. It will all run into one very long day and night.
I am still hoping that the films are split after the capture scene, but maybe right as they arrive at Malfoy Manor.and then they show Voldemort gain the elder wand from Dumbledore’s tomb. Princewatch will be included in the film, but earlier on we will see them scanning through the radio listening to news, but they won’t find it just the once in the time cut in between the Lovegood scene and the capture scene.

It’s cool that he is excited to be a part of HP :)
I loved seeing him in The Boat That Rocked, it was such a great role. I dont remember how I originally imagined Xeno to look but, now when I think of him I see him looking just like Rhys Ifans :D

He looks pretty good as Xenophilius in the photos of him. It doesn’t even look like the guy from notting hill. I agree though he wouldn’t have been my first thought, but in costume he looks pretty good.
Isn’t he Welsh? why does he say “When you’re an English actor…”
