i saw this on t.v too! pretty sweet. lol when ellen had a flask of butterbeer and was swiggin it when they were walking around :)

Ellen is definitely not a Harry Potter fan. I didn’t like video. She was making fun of things and stealing the kids enthusiasm. Sad.

this whole thing pissed me off… the candies the kids ate wasnt even love potions, it said what it was on the container. she called hogwarts “hogwash” and said it “looked like Oprah’s house”. INSULTING! and then she rode a swiffer, swiffered dumbledore’s desk, made fun of the Fat Lady, danced like an IDIOT with the beauxbatons people, and asked if butterbeer was alcholic. those kids were not as excited as they shouldve been, i would have fainted when i walked in to hogsmeade and i would be going crazy the WHOLE TIME!

It looks like the butterbeer didn’t taste very good…if you notice the glasses did not get any emptier as the tour went on! It was the one initial sip…and there was no, “wow, this tastes good!”
It kind of looks like it will be one big HP themed store…

I agree completely w/ Gryffindor1991 {ROAR!!!} Ellen couldn’t possibly have cared less and she doesn’t know the first thing about Harry Potter. Yesterday’s show had her asking HP related questions in Know or Go and she SLAUGHTERED the word Gryffindor. Repeatedly. Had no clue what the word was or what it meant. And those kids today were unbelievably dull. Love potion candy…?? It said coconut ice or whatever!! And the one kid even said it tasted bad!!!! How can Universal/WB be happy about that airing on national television- the first kid to get to see the place and they think the candy tastes bad?? Any TRUE fan would’ve lost their minds seeing all that awesome stuff. I’m ready to burst into tears just thinking about it! So unfair and disappointing. I’m thinking of sending my thoughts to Ellen, for real, because that was pathetic.

And LOL at the Butterbeer also! The boy who thought the candy was bad looked ready to spit his Butterbeer out too! Seems nasty, unfortunately.

OKAY just one more thing. When she was “wiping their minds” at the end that also proved she knows zip about HP. Zip. This isn’t Avatar, Ellen, you don’t have to mutter a novel’s worth of words in some bizarro language.

A little enthusiasm please, kids. Anyway it looks great! I Want to goooo!

arghhhhhhh! im so mad at those kids!!! they were like, 2! just imagining how i would have been instead ahhhh… ellen would be so informed if it was me, those kids ahhh……

I think it would have gone over better if they had one of the kids be older, around their teens? The clip I think was geared for more of the population that isn’t super fans like everyone who is giving an opinion on this clip. The jokes were a way to keep people interested in it that don’t get into Harry Potter. The kids I guess seemed less enthusiastic because they probably scared or nervous to be there. They showed some of the main things and didn’t show what I wanted to see at least. I want to see Filch’s Emporieum (is that how you spell it???) but ah well.

It looked like the coconut ice “love potion” was somewhat like cotton candy. Are those the real mugs they will be serving you butterbeer in? It seems like there would be butterbeer sloshing everywhere. The Beauxbaton dancers were really cool. Same with the durmstrang people!!! It seems like they would get really hot performing in those costumes outside in Florida! I really want to buy raddish earrings! I hope they sell them there!!
