May 17, 2010, 11:46 AM
As readers will recall, actor Dan Radcliffe (Harry Potter) has been a vocal supporter for the Trevor Project, a a nationwide suicide prevention telephone helpline for gay, lesbian, bisexual, transgender, and questioning (GLBTQ) youth in the United States. Today, a PSA Mr. Radcliffe created for the organization has been released online, and can be viewed right here via MTV. In the thirty second public service announcement, the young actor relates the mission of the Trevor Project, as well as gives the contact information where those seeking help my call toll free 24 hours a day, seven days a week.
That’s really cool.
Pretty original cause too. Nothing wrong with saving starving kids, but this is more fun and brave…
in conclusion: Way to go Dan!!!
That a really daring project for him to take. I mean, even though it’s 2010, still not many people are open minded about homosexuality. That’s really inspiring of him.
It is amazing to hear of young people like Dan supporting causes like this one… It is the worse travesty in the world when a youth takes their own life, they haven’t had enough time to see how wonderful life is (including the rough patches) before they decide to leave it. Radcliffe truly is an inspiration!!
Daniel Is so nice I mean really nice I never hear or see a actor or actress will do something like that, Daniel you are so sweet, really sweet.
I consider it tremendous of Radcliffe to devote his time and efforts to supporting this cause. Although we live in the 21st century and attitudes toward LGBT individuals are becoming more accepting and lenient, much work remains to be done toward the achievement of equality in society for these persons.
