In a recent article Tom Felton (Draco Malfoy) speaks about how though he’s finished filming all the Harry Potter movies the fact that the series is over “hasn’t sunk in yet” for him:

“‘I was expecting this big emotional breakdown but instead the first
AD (assistant director) got out the microphone and listed the names of
people who it was their last day and forced the crew for a ripple of
applause and then we walked off and that was it,’ Tom revealed.

‘The
reason why it perhaps hasn’t sunk in yet is because we always feel like
we’re going to be asked back for something or other, I’m sure it’s not
the last time we’ve seen those studios,’ he laughed.”

In the article Felton also speaks about the Wizarding World of Harry Potter theme park and how it might help the cast’s “withdrawal symptoms” in the future.

The books had already ended and the movies were my only reason of survival! Now after ten years, the actors are finally moving out of their childhood home and looking for another path to take, leaving everyone gaping....Avatar Imagegirlatty1 says: A writer for the NY Times called this "post-Potter depression." I sure have it. Avatar ImageScarStruck says: @ girlraven I agree, we all pretty much have it Post♥ Potter♥ Depression♥ Eeeeep. Why did I put hearts next to that? What the heck?! LOL.Oops =(Avatar Image62obsessedwHP says: Wouldn't that be weird for something you've devoted half your life to to be OVER??? It's not just the actors, it's any potter fans who will be experiencing that...including me...boohooAvatar ImageRavenclaw98 says: I cant belive that it is almost over with.Avatar Imagejedisakora says: Echoing everyone-else's points; i can't believe its the end either. Avatar ImageLucida says: Aww they're gonna have a party after the 2nd part of DH is out. Says in the article. :)Avatar ImageSlytherin Princess101 says: Oh Merlin I'm gonna cry!!!Avatar Imagedevilskinn says: I'm so late to all these Harry Potter-related things that I'm on the verge of crying... Had I discovered this world earlier I would have been able to take more in, during a longer period of time, but now, I only have the last two movies to look forward to :-< The Theme Park is, of course, always going to be a desired destination, and because I live far away and it's not so sure I will ever be able to reach it, I will have a link between me, HP and expectations for the future. But it is still not as strong as the thrill the films give me and nowhere near as powerful as the ones the books do... Avatar Imagekatielilly says: Yeah I remember when the last book came out there were news articles about people to went into depression after the series was over. It will be so sad when the last movie is out.Avatar Imagekatielilly says: Yeah I remember when the last book came out there were news articles about people to went into depression after the series was over. It'll last a Liiiittle longer.Avatar ImageRin68nyr says: Oh man...I used to be sad when the play we worked on for 3 months was over...this is exponentially bigger!!!Avatar Imagehalfbloodprincesss says: everybody jokes around saying "I can't remember a time where there wasn't Harry Potter" but I honestly can't remember a time where there wasn't Harry Potter, I was 3 when Sorcerer's Stone was released and I was 4 when I read it for the first time (the book I learned to read with) and I remember every time a new book came out, my aunt would get it for me and bring it over straight away for me to read (except the day she had her 2nd child the day Deathly Hallows was released) and even though we will still be able to read the books and watch the movies, it won't be the same as living through the waiting and wondering what happens next to Harry, it'll be very very surreal to be living "after Harry Potter" when it all ends, that isAvatar ImagePeverell62442 says: NOOOOOOOOOO IT CANT BE OVER NOOOOOOOOOOO Avatar Imageazaadpotter says: Awwwwwwwww. I too cant take it. The end of Harry potter films. I dont think i can control myself in the last movie. i'l definitely cry out loud :(:(:(Avatar ImagePeverell62442 says: I can't imagine them not being in the process of filming a Harry Potter movie. They're ALWAYS filming or about to start filming for the next one. That's how I picture the actors, filming or taking a break from filming but with the full intent of resuming filming. THIS IS SO WEIRD!!!!!Avatar ImageTheRebekinator says: It will never be over.Avatar Imagejacket says: It is very sad...But I don't believe that Harry Potter will ever be over. It lives on in all it's fans.Avatar ImageThe Stew says: That seems anticlimactic. Avatar Imagetjerriam says: It will be so sad when the last movie is out, and cry after the movie...T_T... I cant belive that it is almost over with.....T_TAvatar Imagecheeserpleaser says: I hope that when the realization that he is through with Potter sinks in he will not undergo too much pain. Though this franchise has constituted much of his life, I hope he continues to stay in touch with the many friends he has made in the last ten years while advancing in his career. Nevertheless, I cannot imagine how painful it must be for many people to leave this series that has meant the world to them.Avatar ImageLittle Light says: HARRY POTTER WILL NEVER END!!!!!Avatar ImageHermione Elizabeth says: It's crazy that everything is ending... I just saw on Warwick Davis' twitter that he's now done filming too. WOW!Avatar Imagechanngalambeatrice says: Long Live Harry Potter!Avatar Imageforgetmenot_007 says: Can't believe it's over... :-/Avatar Imageforgetmenot_007 says: Nothing's over!! HARRY POTTER SHALL LIVE FOREVER!!!Avatar ImagePollytomat says: Post-Potter depression will be tough...Avatar Imagemaddison says: I am going to be devastated when the last movie comes out it will at first be a shock then it will eventually sink in probably for me. When i've just come out of the end of DH part 2 I will bawl for days and days !Avatar Imagemaddison says: I am going to be devastated when the last movie comes out it will at first be a shock then it will eventually sink in probably for me. When i've just come out of the end of DH part 2 I will bawl for days and days !Avatar ImageHermonie says: I am going to be sooooooooooooo sad! I had to wait to get the series and now I only have to wait for the 7th movie! And no more movies of HP! What has this world gone to! Avatar ImageGiant Squid says: Awww, no! This is so sad!Avatar ImageMoose_Starr says: I dont think that it has really sunk in for anyone. It must be so weird for the HP actors tho, this has been their life for years. I guess like Tom Felton said about expecting to be asked back for something, I just cant accept or believe that it's over because I keep thinking something will come along in time to rescue us from The End Of All Things. Like, maybe JKR will publish the Scottish book or something. The WWOHP is a huge relief tho because, it's something else to get excited about. HP will never be over anyhows.Avatar ImageJillxoxo says: If Jo Rowling gets caught up in the same wave of emotional withdrawl that cast, crew, and fans have been feeling of late, who knows? She might just do something about it...Avatar ImageLeper says: It's so sad to see it come to a close.Avatar ImageMidnightSun321 says: :'(Avatar Imagebleedblackwax says: Awww, I don't think it's sunk in with me either. At least Tom Felton won the MTV Movie Award for best villain though!Avatar Imageginnysgirl15 says: but there is a long while untill they do come out. i mean, we have to wait untill november. then wait another half a year. so its over a year away untill its all done. Avatar ImageRowling Stones says: Its ok people don't freak out we have 'till November and after that we can still have the power to keep HP alive!!!! : ) Avatar ImageNot Slytherin says: Felton is such a nice guy. I love that he is so open with the fans. We love you, Tom!Avatar Imagewhyalltheglitter says: I knew this was coming, and I dreaded it all the time. I cant believe its over. Tom Felton, have a great career!Avatar ImageFresca says: I hope that the actors and crew do have a big reunion. This has been quite a feat! Seven books filmed with all the main actors in each one, and most of the minor acotrs too. I believe we will get to see Emma Thompson again too. It is sad that it ll is coming to an end, but we still have the wonderful books and the movies!Avatar Imagehewy says: PPD - Post-Potter-Depression sounds about right. I felt that after the last book. The last film in 2011 is going to be totally traumatic in the PPD sense. The books will be our ongoing salvation from here on out and the films will help. So sad! Avatar Imagejhangelgurl says: We feel your pain to Tom.
