Avatar ImageLindsayC14 says: so amazingAvatar ImageChreechree says: I clearly loved the pics as I've finally chosen my Avatar. I also loved the dragon and Harry at Dobby's grave. Avatar ImageLydni says: Holy! This looks so good! I'm also confused where they will stop it because they put scenes from like both parts. Wow, this is going to be hard to wait for.Avatar Imagejedisakora says: Awesome. I was hoping some stills of the trailer would come out. Avatar ImageProfessorCharms says: WOW! Amazing. :) The trailer definitely did not disappoint! Avatar ImageIloveDobby says: Awesome the trailer was amazingAvatar Imagecritterfur says: It's been a while since I read the last book, but isn't the scene of a Death Eater (apparently one of the Carrows) stopping the Hogwarts Express a new one? Is David Yates going to do like Peter Jackson did with Lord of the Rings and show things that were only hinted at in the novel? That would be extremely cool, breaking up the monotony of Harry, Ron, and Hermione out camping in the wilderness by showing scenes of Hogwarts and the rest of the Wizarding World getting taken over, and maybe showing scenes with Ginny, Neville, and the others during their struggles at school, instead of only seeing them again at the end of Part 2. Avatar ImageCarinaPotter says: Oh my god. The trailer was amazing, these stills make it even better. I can't wait for this. It looks amazing, and from what I've seen, I'm most looking forward to the fight between Ron and Harry.Avatar Imagenarglesohmy says: That trailer made my night. <3Avatar Imagedecarus says: I think they are going to show Luna get taken from the train. Avatar ImageYodatheHobbit says: I hope Mellisa, John, and Frak do a pottercast soon talking about this trailer! I love hearing you guys geek out.Avatar Imagemaimiaa says: these look amazing!Avatar ImageHPTwilightGirl says: yay!! the movie looks like the book :))Avatar Imageiris lily says: OMG! to think how they've grown.....Avatar Imagebellaohbella says: i saw this it was so excitingAvatar Imageginnyshiel says: The pictures of Ron and Hermione and HArry are 100% after Malfoy Manor, on the beach at Shell Cottage and they see Dobby dead.Avatar Imagehpfanaticfan2011 says: wait...obviously they are cutting it sometime after gringotts because this trailer is for the first part and they have gringotts and shell cottage. maybe they are doing that to make the battle longerAvatar Image42sk8ter says: Wow! Avatar Imageginnyshiel says: Doing 2 parts for this book is the best decision WB ever made. HBP was too quick especially at the end. Hope they show most of Snapes thought in the pensieve to make his development and DDs intention clear. Hope they show us how Harry feels at the end. Not a hero but someone who can't act in another way like he does. He just has to do it!!!Avatar Imagenr2solace says: Looks awesome! I can't wait for it to come out!!Avatar Imagedecarus says: This is not footage from only Part 1. Avatar ImageMr. Brightside says: Good trailer but i have to point out a few things. did Ron really said to Harry that his parents were dead. I just can't remember those words coming out from his mouth. And where's the repelling spell that Hermione used to keep them in distance? Also, when they made it at Shell Cotage wasn't it night? And why Dobby is buried at some random place at the beach instead of the garden...? I know i know, these are details but still, it wouldn't hurt them to stay more faithful to the book.Avatar Imagehp931 says: I just can't look.Avatar ImageGiant Squid says: I love the trailer!!!Avatar ImagexxIBelieveInNarglesxx says: the trailer was beyond amazing (i managed to retain myself and only watched it once) and now the pics make it better.maybe it's just me,but everything looks perfect,i just got the feeling that these 2 films will be epicAvatar Imageccking says: they all look so goood! this is so bloody exciting!Avatar Imagelituus says: Quick update. Just found out that the Harry/Ginny kiss in the MTV teaser is from Part 2Avatar ImageBellatricksthestrange says: This trailer is for both parts. You can see scenes from from the end of the book (Voldemort in the forest, Harry approaching him to sacrifice himself), and also, at the end of the trailer, it doesn't say "part 1". Avatar ImageBellatricksthestrange says: Oh, AND there's no release date at the end. All of that points to it being meant as a teaser for both parts!Avatar ImageBookworm_Weasley says: I think the last picture of Harry on his own, and the one of Ron and Hermione are from after they escape Gringotts. There's a lake in the background- which obviously they jump into from the back of the dragon- and I think Harry looks so distressed because he's just connected with Voldemort and seen that he's going to Hogwarts. This made me SO excited I can't even begin to describe it. I'm wondering why Ginny and Harry are kissing at Hogwarts, but I don't actually mind that much. They deserve a proper kiss after the one they got in HBP!Avatar ImageWON_TWO says: Very nice...Avatar ImageHermione Elizabeth says: YAY for pictures! Now I can choose a new wallpaper for my laptop! :) The trailer totally didn't disappoint me either!Avatar Imagecha_granger says: Really cool!Avatar Imagecritterfur says: Could the Harry/Ginny kiss take place either directly before the final battle, or maybe directly after it? I assume it's before, because Harry just doesn't look beat-up enough yet. Maybe it's them saying what could potentially be their last goodbye. And just to expand on one of my earlier comments, I'm all for them expanding the story a bit, especially in Part 1. Let's face it, the first half of the last book doesn't have a lot of action going on, and is mostly HRH isolated from the rest of the Wizarding World, with no clue what is going on. That might work on the written page, but for a film, I think they need to jump back and forth between Hogwarts and HRH in the wilderness, simply because if they don't, it'll be hours of just three actors on the screen. In Tolkien's written version of Lord of the Rings (specifically The Two Towers), he splits up his characters, and the book is split into two parts, with the first half featuring one group and the second half featuring the other; it makes for good dramatic tension, but in the film Peter Jackson chose to meld the two storylines together, allowing us to not be separated from one group of characters for very long. Avatar ImageDergus Domwobby says: So here's the deal. This trailer (which looks great!) points to my theory of the movie splitting post Gringotts as being correct. Since we're seeing the Gringott's dragon and Dobby's grave we know that Gringotts will be the climax of movie 1. It makes sense from a story perspective as the very aftermath of the Gringott's scene clearly divides the book Deathly Hallows into 2 distinct portions. Not equal portions, pagecount-wise, but separate distinct sections. Before Gringotts, Voldemort does not know Harry is hunting horcruxes. After Gringotts Voldy knows he's hunting horcruxes. This is a huge reversal, a huge revelation - in short, the biggest game changer in the 7th book - if not the entire series. When Harry, Ron and Hermione are on the banks of the lake watching the old dragon drink water, Harry decides to go to return to Hogwarts and race Voldemort for the final Horcruxes, and Voldemort begins searching - truly marking his foe as an equal. This is the perfect place to break. The "road trip movie", as it's so often been called, ends when Harry sets his course home -- back to Hogwarts. Bookwise this split came late, but movie-wise it's a perfect place to split it 50/50 - since they want to milk the final battle for all its worth cinematically and emotionally. I think movie 8 should be and could be rightfully called, HARRY POTTER AND THE BATTLE OF HOGWARTS. Movie 2 will begin with the trio arriving in Hogsmeade, where Aberforth will try and dissuade Harry from his quest - but Harry will enter through the room of requirement - and this will be the break into act 2 of Movie 8, where Harry will rally the troops and begin the final battle. This is a great split for Movie 7&8 - what I suspected and the trailer proves it. Re: Movie 7, Ron will return in the second half of movie 7, which will involve Malfoy Manor, Shell Cottage and act 3 of movie 7 will be the planning and breaking into Gringots - which turns out to be a direct and open challenge to Voldemort - which is the ultimate gamechanger. Not a cliffhanger, but an emotional place to break it - very much like the end of the Two Towere, where Gandalf says Sauron's wrath will be great (after they won battle of Helm's Deep) Can't wait!!!Avatar Imagehrslvr529 says: AWESOME!!!Avatar Imagejasmineflower27 says: is it just me or is Harry and Ginny kissing is Hogwarts???Avatar ImagePollytomat says: A very good trailer! Very strong one! Avatar ImageLeper says: Ahhh. So that's what that weird orange thing was. Great stills, thanks guys.Avatar Imageiris lily says: coolAvatar ImageLove is the greatest magic says: Oh I really can't wait. They look so good!Avatar Imagehewy says: The stills helped make a little more sense of the trailer. Still not that thrilled with it. Agree that adding things that are hinted at in the books is a good idea but adding things that are not and don't make any sense to fans who treasure the printed word is not cool. However, movies are "based on the book."Avatar ImageMaxtina Potter says: THIS IS AAAWWWEEESSSOOOOMEEEE!Avatar Imagemuggle..andproudofit says: Ahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh!!! oh my gods!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! shoot! 161 days left!Avatar ImageWishingUwereHere says: Harry isn't at malfoy manor he is at shell can tell cause the house that is behind ron and hermione is the same one that is in the background of the picture of harry at dobby's grave
