There are now only 94 days left until "Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows: Part I" hits theaters!  We are posting a quote from the first half of the book every day in celebration and to give us a chance to discuss and ponder the final book as it goes to film.  Here's today's quote!
"Is this it? Is this Sirius's bike?"
"The very same," said Hagrid, beaming down at Harry. "An' the last time yeh was on it, Harry, I could fit yeh in one hand!"
        -Rubeus Hagird

This scene has two parallel ones connected to it. First, the one in which the bike is introduced: it’s Hagrid who brought him to the Dursleys and it’s him who’s taking him away. The second is a bit more hidden, and maybe not as exact: Hagrid holding Harry in one arm as a baby and then him carrying Harry out of the forest in both arms.

I love this quote because it has made me realize that Harry arrived and left Privet Drive for the first and last times, the exact same way. On Sirius’s bike, under Hagrid’s protection. A nice little thing in there. :)
