"Deathly Hallows: Part 2" Makes Oscar Visual Effects Award Shortlist

"Deathly Hallows: Part 2" has been named as one of the shortlist contenders for the Visual Effects Oscar. Other films that made the shortlist are: "Captain America," "Hugo," "Mission: Impossible," "Pirates of the Caribbean: On Stranger Tides," "Real Steel," "Rise of the Planet of the Apes," "Transformers," "The Tree of Life," and "X-Men: First Class." I should jolly well think so. I mean, have any of these other films got anything as good as the Gringotts dragon? The effects in DH2 are all there in the service of the story, not to make you go ‘Wow, what good effects!’

I hope they use the shield over hogwarts scene to preview the films visual effects as that scene was just amazing to watch! The visual effects department really shined at that scene
